It has a lot of cool factor other than that very limited practicality. Especially if all devices at home are already smart having YouTube and Netflix apps natively installed . It's a nice show off to impress friends who want share something on you tube in their mobile device.

The setup was easy and works from my laptop, iPad and iPhone. I have limited wifi bandwidth so can result in jerky picture on the tv. I am looking forward to getting more bandwidth and for more apps like sport package apps so I can watch my games, not just the one on cable.

I wasn't too sure how well this would work but was pleasantly surprised, Chromecast does everything I hoped it would do, basically providing a simple one-step means to get to Netflix and Pandora. Very simple to plus in and use. Bottom line: it does what it says it will.

Once I received this device, it took 10 mins to get this up and running pending you download the Chromecast app onto your phone. Once up and running, the Netflix worked flawlessly. Youtube worked great too. Only wish they didn't block the ability to stream my own videos but for the value, you can't go wrong! Highly recommended!

I cut my cable, and attached a decent antenna and Chromecast. It covers the most channels with the combo. I love it!

Amazing device and technology. I use this device on a daily basis streaming from HBO GO, You Tube, Netflix and Epix.

The recipient loved it. She has the ability to get the apps on her tv that enable her to watch everything she wants.

The chromecast is an almost must have. I have a total of three in my house now. It is so nice to be able to just hit the button and have it go from my phone to the TV. Once someone sees me do it, they wind up going to get one to. It still has some work and glitches to be done, but Google is releasing updates regularly.

Got this as a gift for my Dad and he really loves it. He can now stream all his favourite movies directly on the TV.

This is my 2nd chrome cast device, I loved it and works well! Very convenient in any devices you connect with it.

I love how google made the chrome cast compatible with any TV with an HDMI port, and any smartphone and/or tablet.

I bought this so I could cancel my cable and just pay for aereo service and cast it to the tv. Unfortunately, that service was shut down so presently, I'm not watching any tv. I've cast a few UTube videos and it worked just fine. I may subscribe to Netflix in the future.

Honestly one of the best purchases I have made. The ease of converting any TV to a "smartTV" for $35 is incredible!

Runs hot if you leave it plugged in and turned on, which I imagine most people will/do.

Really good. Now I'm able to watch Netflix,youtube,hulu and stream it on to the TV instead of watching on my phone.

I had no clue this product even existed until my bf pointed it out to me. I was going to sell my TV bc I don't have a smart TV that has all of the apps featured in it already. For the price, I get Neflix & HBO Go. I can watch all the shows that I love now. Just make sure that the app is compatable with the Chromecast.
