Overall very good, but needs more app support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two Chromecasts when they were released and use on 2 different TVs. For the price you can beat them; just needs more ubiquitous application support. Now it is a limited number of applications (e.g. chrome, youtube, netflix).

Easy smart TV replacement solution
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the more apps that support chromecast the better this thing will be. I haven't compared the price between smart TV's and non-smart TV's but I think this is a better option than spending extra for a smart TV. I've dropped my cable subscription since buying a chromecast.

Works well for what I want it to do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is very simple to set up and works well for what I needed it for. However, even though my computer is only about 8 to 10 ft away there is buffering and lag time issues. But this is more of a distraction than a frustration.

Great way to watch online movies!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chromcast makes it possible to watch anything on your TV that you normally watch online. Perfect for online video subscriptions, kids apps and movies, YouTube surfing, etc. Your laptop, notebook/tablet or mobile/smartphone device becomes your TV remote control. LOVE IT!

Does as described, demands a lot of processor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Asus laptop I purchased 1-1/2 years ago and does not stream picture very well, poor quality, but my IPad streams YouTube exemptionally well. Will be much better when and if Apple allows device to stream tabs from Safari.
