I bought this because it was cheap and I'm all about google products. I plugged it into the tv and set it up on my phone within 3 minutes. It plays my netflix and music from my phone with ease and it doesn't use the battery life down on my phone because it's actually being streamed through the device rather than on the phone. As an added bonus, it plays my music from my desktop to my tv which has a great sound system hooked up to it. It can also mirror my chrome tab that's open on my desktop. I got it when they were offering three months of netflix free so it really only cost me $11. Fantastic purchase.

If you don't own a smart TV and don't have enough money to purchase an Apple TV

I can't recall being as pleased with a product. It is so easy to set up on a laptop and tv screen and is just as easy to use. We are able to stream Netflix etc./ to our tv which was not possible before. The quality of the item and the hd it produces are remarkable.

This works well... but wish the resolution was better

I find it very interesting and a great product for still certain things. I like how you can stream to your tv various A/V formats but needs more time to be compatible with other technologies. I find it very useful though.

Great item, only issue is that the item gets hot as it's plugged in during use.

Chromecast does an awesome job. Everyday I look and there are more apps supported.

Wish this would "cast" more programs but great for money

The concept is simple and the chromecast performs beautifully. Once the setup (very simple) is complete, you simply select video from compatible sources and it plays on your tv. The image quality is superb and the playback is quick. Excellent product for the price.

Purchased this device for use with an older non Internet capable sony tv. Was able to use the service port usb to power the stick. Works perfectly with all devices after installing the latest update for each of the streaming apps. Can't beat the price either.

It's very handy for displaying mirror of Samsung phones.

Works really well with Netflix and YouTube, sometimes has an issue with Netflix not counting a show you watched and it doesn't skip to the next episode automatically if you want to be a couch potato but thats probably a good thing so you get up and do it yourself.
