Awesome Media Streaming

have to watch wireless internet

It sends Chrome, Netflix and a few other programs wirelessly to the TV. I did have a bit of trouble finding the device with my PC at first, but once it found it, no worries. I have a smart TV and an older HDTV and they both work fine. One point of note, when connecting it to the USB, ensure that the unit's LED flashes. I ended up with a faulty USB wall plug, but with all the electronic devices that come with this standard these days, it was hardly a deal breaker for me. In combination with future upgrades and the 3 months of netflix, essentially making this a $12 device, I can't complain.

Best tech I have purchased in 10 years.

Now I have this little 2 inch dongle there and no more clutter. I have recommended it to all of my friends and colleagues.

Remarkable device for the price

It frees me from having to watch my netflix choices on a computer monitor and enhances my listening experience to 5.1 surround sound for movies and music. My only cause to cite a negative is the audio compatibility. Chromecast sends Dolby Digital + to the receiving source. Yet if that receiver is not able to decode DD+ the only output is two channel stereo. Apparently, ChromeCast is not backward compatible with DD ProLogic or PL II. I felt that to have the video broadcast to my flat-screen LED without 5.1 surround sound was unacceptable so I upgraded my A/V receiver to one compatible with DD+ and have been extremely happy with the results. The ChromeCast is very simple to setup and has performed flawlessly. Easily a 5-star product..............
