The chromecast is great for those days where you're sitting on your bed and want to watch youtube on a larger screen than your phone. The thing holding it back is the lack of supported apps.

Use this to stream internet video to tv. Would be better if all internet content could be streamed from mobile device, but can do it from a laptop. Netflix and YouTube work well from iPhone.

I was very excited when I purchased a Chromecast for my husband for Christmas. Unfortunately we were never able to get it to work with our mobile hotspot we use for our internet service. The device just never connected. After many attempts we finally followed a link for more help only to learn this isn't recommended for use with as mobile hotspot.Unfortunately we returned it to the store today. So, while I might recommend this product to a friend with traditional internet service, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone using only a hotspot

There are a lot of different apps to use with the chromecast.

Use it to stream YouTube videos to my TV. Was a bit confused at first on how it setup. (Acts as a wireless access point and my phone connected to it, just for the setup) Took 5 minutes to get setup and smooth sailing after there.

Just works fine, no issue while setting up. Very good product

This device works great if you're watching short YouTube videos, but do not try to watch full length movies. The movies play fine on my device, but for some reason the movie will skip and freeze when it's projected onto my TV screen.

I'm loving it. Watching movies and shows that I love so much.

My niece and nephew love the Chromecast. No problems with it.

I love this thing. Can watch the web and WatchESPN, other apps. Cant see Amazon Fire movies. Picture quality is ok, hopefully will improve with time. Price is right and set up is easy.

We plugged this in to the television and essentially use our smart phones as a remote control. Anything we bring up on our phone, ie You Tube films, movies, etc., can be seen on the TV. Simple to use and works as advertised.

Buy it. It's awesome and I'm using it right now. We have netflix and we can move it from our living room tv to the bedroom in seconds. Works well with our apple devices. Only bad thing is won't play more than one episode in a row.

I purchased this device instead of APPLE TV and was much cheaper. VERY EASY TO USE and the setup was quick and uneventful. The whole family loves the versatility of watching anything on the family tv instead a smaller device.

This is a smart way to add video streaming to almost any TV. However, it is currently very limited on what it can do. YouTube, Netflix, etc. Wait a few months and we should see developers add more apps to interact with this device.

I have been pleasantly surprised who nice the device works.

They function great and very flexible as to what they can do.

Very easy to set up. It also streams at 1080p. This will only work on specific apps for example google chrome must be downloaded. It will also work with netflix, hulu etc.
