For $35, the Chromecast is too good of a deal to pass on. Great alternative to the Apple TV, but could use a Graphic User Interface ( GUI ) for the not so tech savy user.

I bought this for my son who really likes the option of viewing anything on his phone on the tv. Great for you tube. This product works best for android users. Great for games and viewing pictures too.

I would have given 5 stars if Chromecast worked with Chrome browser. I have had mixed luck with it. It works great with Netflix and YouTube but not with Chrome browser.

Once set up, the Chromecast is simple to use and has provided a versatility to play Netflix, Hulu Plus, Drama Fever, etc. direct from my tablet, phone, or desktop computer to my TV which is not a Smart TV.

Purchased because it was highly recommended by salesperson for streaming Netflix, etc. Got it home initiated setup using my IPhone 5-c as the remote. Was unable to link/connect Insignia TV to Chromecast device. After several failed attempts, the device was returned to BestBuy. Replaced it with a ROKU Stick and was able to setup, connect, and view Netflix, Plex, etc. with no problems.

This was a great buy, even for the limited number of apps at introduction the price is unbeatable. There will only be more apps made for it which will increase the value.

Really like my chromecast very easy to use. Have had some problems since the last update with it locking up and having to reset it but nothing major not sure what is causing this. But so far i like it

The chromecast was a great investment. Now we don't have to crowd around the ipad to watch netflix. Everyone has their own seat on the sofa and is comfortable. It is so neat, I got a 2nd for my sister.

We bought the Chromecast in order to more easily watch online streams of OIympic events on our TV. Our A/V setup is such that all the components are down the hall, so hooking up a laptop to the TV is a pain. The Chromecast solved that issue quickly and easily! The only issue I have is that if there is a high demand on the network, the Chromecast will stop. That can be annoying, but it happens rarely. If you're looking to "cut the cable," then the Chromecast is a great way to do that.

Glad I waited a bit to get this. More services have become available like Plex. Except that you need the pay to use plexpass (for now). Guess I will continue waiting...

i just wanted something where i can watch netflix on my regular tv (not a smart tv). This product takes it and puts it up on the tv with a perfect picture! saves lots of money doing it this way as well!

I bought this to add to my non-smart tv. It works pretty good, but sometimes the casting from my smart phone is choppy. Overall, it is a good product for the price.

Easy to hook up to home network and cast from mobile devices and computers to big screen TV. Possibilities abound with purchase of third party quick reference guide.

Can't beat it for the price. Easy setup. My wife was watching Orange is the new black on Kindle and I set this up to throw to the TV. Only took minutes. Works great.

Its so easy to surf because the interface is so great. The hardware doesnt hang either. I like it so much, Ive bought one for each t.v. Its so nice not having to worry about clickers too. Great device!

I love the Chromecast so much I have 3! From multiple devices (mine, my wife's, my kids), you can stream media to any TV with one attached, hence my 3. Love that more and more apps are being supported.

Chrome cast is affordable compared with other streaming devices. It's been working well for me. But sometimes it freezes and that's the only drawback I found so far.

I bought this partially out of curiosity, and having a soon-to-expire BestBuy Reward. Set up was a breeze, and didn't require entering a wifi password on a clunky on-screen keyboard, certainly easier than any Blu-Ray Player or set-top box I've used. Content has expanded beyond just Netflix and now is nearly comparable to most set top boxes (at least on Android, I can't comment on iPhone availability). At this point, the only content I "want" that isn't available is Amazon Instant Video, and it's quite possible that it will never come. Otherwise video playback is great, with only rare hiccups, even with both the Chromecast and the source (my phone, generally) at the farthest point in the house from the router.

The Chromecast is just perfect to play online tv services, such as Netflix or Hulu. It is also perfect to share other content such Youtube and even sharing your browser on the tv. Now, why the 4 stars then? Simple: Local media can be cast, but it has to use the Internet connection to access Google services, making it go all the way to the Internet, and then return to your TV. This causes slowness on local content, and make it almost impossible to cast a video you have on your phone or tablet. If Google change that, and allow local media to use the internal network, this product would be perfect.

I have an apple TV and also a Sony TV and out of all 3 this one is the best and only $35.00. You can not ask for more.
