Nice to not have to use wires

Also, since it's all wifi based, if your computer is on wifi it seems to make things worse. There also needs to be more apps besides netflix, google chrome, and hulu to be compatible with it. I am not sure why you coldn't have a chromecast desktop app that throws anything up on the screen.

After some research I decided on purchasing a WiFi range extender and now it connects immediately. Unfortunately I have to unplug the extender to connect my laptop, and then plug it back in to connect my chrome stick.

BUT, you first have to download an app & then your streaming content is determined by the app. I feel like this cold be a more useful tool in watching tv, but I don't fully understand how to use it.

Simple device with great potential

The browser playback is not as ideal. Once HBO Go and vimeo are available, I will really love it. One odd quirk I haven't figured out is that it seems to wirelessly confuse the ATT Uverse box. So when I go back to cable, I have to re-initialize the cable box. Weird. Great price.
