My son got one of these for Christmas, so I knew that they worked well. I got one for the living room, even though the living room TV was internet capable. The Chromecast makes it easy to navigate through streaming services, that would otherwise be clunky using the TV's remote, since you can use a device like an iphone or ipad. Can use it for HBO2GO, Netflix and YouTube, but no Amazon Prime yet.

I almost bought a new Tv because the one we currently have dud not have Wi-Fi, only Ethernet plug ins. I use this device in my kid's room for Netflix, in our bedroom for YouTube and Netflix, and other sites that are compatible. I love this device and I can control everything from my smart phone. Don't waste hundreds of dollars trying to buy a new Tv or update firmware. Just plug and play;)

Great Price, works well with my FreeNas server and phone

The google Chromecast does exactly what it say it does, reproduces youtube, Netflix and other services like hulu directly in your tv. The price is very reasonable and also the size, extremely portable in case you want to take it to a friend's house for example. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the lack of a browser.

I have enjoyed this product. Netflix and Youtube on my TV without hooking a HÐMI cable up to my laptop or tablet. I also like being able to view webpages on TV through Google Chrome web browser (on a laptop) using Chromecast. I have been looking at Hulu through Google Chrome the same way on TV without the need to pay for Hulu Plus. I look forward to more apps to use with this device in the future.

Make sure you know what youre buying when you get this! Its a very good netflix or youtube client that is controlled by your android phone. Thats it, theres no actual phone mirroring.

Inexpensive way to stream , easy to set up, but can't figure out to get web sights.

It is nice to have the ability to turn any tv into a Smart Tv, however, the current applications are limited. I have used it for Netflix and YouTube so far. Other apps are coming on board. I use it on our bedroom tv - we already have a smart tv in our entertainment room. Handy little device, and not too difficult to set up and operate.

Took longer to get out of the package than it did to set up. Works well, no hassle.

Works flawlessly. Now it can also stream local media, no lags streaming Full HD !
