For streaming Netflix to my bedroom or basement TV, Chromecast has been a great solution. I'm disappointed that is does not work with my Amazon Prime -- but I get it, they are competitors. For only $35, it is well worth the price.

I bought this thinking I could view my computer desktop or Nexus 7 screen as I use it on my tv screen. But it doesn't work that way. If I used it correctly you can only send the output of certain things like Netflix, etc. to your tv screen.

It's not that easy to install especially for those like me who're not technically savvy. It took me 2 days to do it with the help of customer support. Besides, I only have amazon prime and it does not support this; I had to do a free trial for Netflix just to be sure that it works. By then, I can no longer return it so at this point it's useless to me unless I subscribe to Netflix. Nobody can say whether Amazon Prime will work on it in the future.

It's very easy to use. It comes in handy when traveling for work.

I'm a bit disappointed. I'm not sure if it's just my setup, but the chromecast continuously causes my Denon receiver to switch to "TV" input (even when its connected to a totally different HDMI connection and "TV" is disabled on the Denon menu). Unplug the chromecast and the problem goes away. Plug it back in and the problem comes back. Hopefully this will be fixed soon with a firmware update. Also, there are very few apps for it currently. Hopefully Google authorizes more third party apps and allows indie developers to fully utilize it's potential.

At first I thought, I've got Roku why would I need Chromecast?, then the more I looked into it the more I wanted to get one. One of the many things you can do is get rid of your HDMI cable when traveling and wish to watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon plus, etc. I am actually looking at purchasing an additional Chromecast to use solely for travel and school.

Works better than I expected. Seems to be flawless in operation with my Windows 8 computer and I don't even have a fast internet connection and I have a lower end router that is 4 years old. Be nice if it could be used to display files from my computer such as photos or video. But works very well to play YouTube videos which is what I use it for most.

Google play device was very easy to set up and use.

Perfect and cheap solution for streaming online content to my TV.

great has all of my favorite apps - Netflix Hulu etc

I was not happy with this purchase, and imagine trying to explain to your 50 year old father how to use it. You have to download the apps on your phone. It won't even allow funimation to play on your phone to chromecast. Money wasted.

this is a great product and can be used with HBO GO and Netflix.
