Excellent way to access internet on TV

I tried other options and found Google Chromcast the easiest to use. It was recommended by a friend. It makes an excellent gift for friends who don't have a Smart TV. It works with my IPad and IPhone. I had a minor problem that was easily solved by my phone call to Google.

Works Great if you TV has multiple AC spots

I though the power would be provided by the HDMI or ETC but that is not recommended by the manual. Works great though if you do have power and enjoy the product.

GREAT PIECE OF TECH

Access to the web is cool...looking forward to more apps being added and then sitting back on my couch with my "remote" and enjoying my big screen TV as the internet/movie screen.

Pretty good product

Wish could display browser. Easier to type searches from mobile device than a smart tv remote. Kept it since it was so cheap.

Not recommended for Apple/IPhone users
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend this product for IPhone users, it's very hard to connect or sync the chromecast with the app for IPhones, also, the connection between the chromecast and the TV is lost frequently. I am seriously considering return the Chromecast and change to Apple TV

iOS users beware ... this is a $35 Netflix machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my girlfriend as she doesn't currently have a computer, just her iPhone 5. It wasn't made expressly clear that the ability to "cast" Chrome web browser pages to the Chromecast/TV was a feature limited to use on a computer only, and not on iOS. As it stands, the only things you can use Chromecast for with iOS are Netflix and YouTube, and that's it. Fortunately my girlfriend watches Netflix quite a bit so it wasn't a complete loss, but I'm surprised that Google has yet to update Chromecast so that iOS users can cast browser pages from Chrome. If they get that done, then this would be a 5-star review.
