I liked the price of $35 but it lacks with no remote and not a true interface. I tried to like it but took it back. I prefer a roku or even better Apple TV over the chromecast.

This item makes your phone and TV pair together to do some pretty cool things. Screen mirroring is awesome. Also casting your computer screen to your TV is really cool. For such a low cost this is a must-have item.

The product itself is super easy to setup and get going. I wish that there was a way to be able to use this a little more like the google tv, but that isn't really it's purpose. I can't wait to see what they do with the it in the future.

To be fair this product may be very good for some users but for me I`d probably be better of with a boku box with a remote. With Chromecast you have to go through to many complicated steps just to get it going. No thanks!!!!!

This device is great to watch youtube on the big screen along with other programs. Also, my phone pictures and videos can be seen on the TV with no wires connected. I hope Google adds more apps so that this device is even more useful.

Works as promised. Great for casting netflix. As others have noted, best if used only on your own private wifi at home since there are no security features that would prevent another user on your dorm wifi from casting to your TV.

Great add to our home viewing. We have one in the living room and one in the bedroom. We love it and can watch whatever we want, whenever we want on the tv's big screen, rather than the iPad, or other device. Awesome!

I've had Apple TVs and Roku players before, so I figured I'd give this a try...not a bad streaming device even with limited app usage. If you have a newer TV that has a USB port, you can save yourself from having to use the AC Adapter.

It gives 1080p video for hd Netflix and other databases. I found the installment difficult, had to call my Verizon customer service to help finish set-up. There is no clear guideline available to troubleshoot the installation problem.

While I was challenged initially coding the device to my wireless router, once installed it worked very well. The issue is that there are limited applications with which to use it.

Anything you can stream through Google Chrome, on your pc, laptop, phone or tablet can be Chromecasted to your tv. Plenty of other apps are available that are compatible too. Keep in mind you must use your phone, tablet, or laptop to connect and control the chromecast device.

When it works. It works great. But it's hit or miss. Not sure if there is to much interference or what. Bit if I unplug and plug it back in it works. Worth the 25 bucks. Yes.

Bought it when it's on sale. The chromecast is really small and easy to use. The only thing I complain is that when using a tablet or laptop, I can cast the video in any browser, including Firefox and Goole Chrome. But Chromecast cannot cast the video using browser (including Google Chrome) on smartphone. If you use a smartphone and cannot find what you want to watch (especially some foreign country free live video) on youtube app, you have to put your phone aside and open the laptop or tablet to use the chromecast.

I do really like the Chromecast. What's frustrating is you can't use it and have your baby monitor on at the same time. It completely messes up the signal. I really would like to give it 3.5 stars for that reason. Very frustrating.

Works well but it is limited.The Netflix promo did it for me.If you have movies on a hard drive you can Stream them to your TV. The DVD's that have a digital download are made for this.

It's a great idea if they can make it work more consistent. The Chromecast will freeze up from time to time. When it does it will not work unless you configure it on another Wifi and TV, then bring it back to the original TV and reconfigure it for that one. It would be nice if you could just reset it from scratch with a button. Also work with hotels would be nice. I was told by the Best Buy salesman I could take it to the hotel and hook it up there and use it. All the hotels block it from using their WiFi and it even says on the Chrome website it will not work at hotels. I do like the product though, they just need to work on it to make it better.

Currently, it seems rather limited in what it can "cast" to a TV from my phone or tablet. Right now, it appears that Netflix, Youtube, etc. are the only things. Would like to have whatever's on my tab or phone screen shown on the TV.

It is easy to install, but it is hard to keep running. I have to shut off after every show or movie that I watch in order to play the next one. It is still cheaper than a new tv.

I was orignially going to return this product because it wasnn't working but after a friend came over and spent hours installing the right applications onto my laptop it works great.

I got this for my wife to use, and she loves it. I did run into a few problems getting the device to connect to my wireless network. If I were not at least a little tech savy, I don't think I would have been able to pull it off. Once you get that sorted out, it works perfectly.
