Small in size Good display capabilities google lovers should love this But i expect more of interoperable functionalities like beaming from any device any video kind of Roku is better than chromcast

For the few apps available, the experience is wonderful. I can stream from my phone, laptop or tablet. "Casting" an ordinary Chrome tab, however, often results in latency and poor audio/video quality.

Overall its good for its price .Con-Its limited only to few channels that can be casted full screen and work on your laptop at the same time.If wifi is not strong tends to disconnect very frequently.

Great for picking up video on YouTube from your phone to your TV. Have had problems loosing the video in midstream and not sure why yet. Need to try it with my laptop to see if the same issues occur.

Does not provide any more options than what is available by connecting to internet via a blu ray player. Even connecting via a Wii gaming console at least provides an internet browser. This does not.

Chromecast is a cool concept. The one thing I didn't like about it is that it doesn't stream as well as the Samsung Hub did for my S4. This is a great solution for streaming from the iPhone however.

It did what it was supposed to do at home to a point but not while we were on the road traveling. Sent it back because our TV does everything it did.

According to the label it is comptable with Mac, so I bought the Chromecast for my daughter who has a 5 year old Mac Book Pro. It was not comparable. It was compatable with my 3 year old Mac Book Pro, however, which has been updated to OS X 10.9.1. Chromecast will not commuicate directly with a WiFi router. I returned it and purchased an Apple TV box, which does connect directly with WiFi. The Apple TV, however, will not connect with Macs built prior to 2011.

Original purchased unit would not stream quality movies. Could not use as a remote connect device unless was less than 4 feet away. Replacement unit shorted and burnt within the first week.

had to call their customer support, spent two days trying to figure out what was wrong. Still no resolution. They tried to sell me a computer support package. Not happy with them at all.

Was easy to setup and works as indicated, but even with speed of 75/50 mbps there is a delay that makes it almost unbearable to watch. Maybe I just need to play with the settings some more.

I bought it on sale so it was really cheap. However it doesn't stream Amazon Prime, so I had to by a ROKU. I am keeping the google chromecast though as it will be easy to carry when traveling.

I finally got it to work, then it after a week it stopped working. It kept saying couldn't find my network and wanted me to connect to a non secure network. All my other wifi toys work on my network but not this. It would also be nice if there was a on/off switch. And a remote with a easy user interface would be nice....it got old when I wanted to pause the movie I needed to turn on my ipad, put in my security code and then pause the movie. If google had a remote like my older Roku box that would be nice. Now the Chrome cast is unplugged and sits in a drawer.

This is a great device for what it does. Makes me happy to have bought it, However before the recent app updates I wouldn't have said that necessarily,. Apple TV still might be a better choice.

This has good picture quality but is not a good product for software use on your computer as the mouse does not show up on the larger screen. The salesman sit it would. Oh well, it was returned

I like the chromcast although after some time it starts to freeze and lock up on you. Now that there are other streaming devices out there the chromcast is a little outdated.

Bought both this and Apple TV. Would recommend Apple TV due to the functionality to watching movies. Plays you tube great. But prefer apple tv

This I returned because I dont have a laptop or anything to stream from. Sales person did not inform us that was how it worked. He told us it would turn our "dumb" tv into a Smart Tv. Not

Seems to work well with most devices other than apple devices. It comes only with two media apps and does not offer media app downloads as of yet.

In my opinion the google chromecast is a great device to have and for the price I think its a good investment. They need to take in consideration adding a feature where wifi is not required.
