Not a big fan. I would recommend spending a few extra bones and get the Apple TV. Google Chrome is fine if you just want to stream a tune or watch a few YouTube videos in low res on your high-def tv.

Don't buy this product!! It was a complete nightmare!! I tried to upload it and it infected my computer, total nightmare had to have my computer revamped!!

Maybe I should wait and keep trying before I review this, but after multiple attempts and following directions, it will not link up. Has trouble finding my network. My Blu Ray found it just fine! l

After installing from there I had viruses on both my laptop and desktop. I have owned by desktop for 9 years give or take a few and have never ever had a virus until now. Very upset with it!!!

This thing did not work properly after trying for several hours. It would not connect to the wifi network. It started acting as its own wifi and started slowing down messing with the wifi network in my house. I have other people have similar complaints. Google needs to fix this product.

DID NOT WORK WITH MY TV. IT WOULD NOT SYNCHRONIZE WITH MY TV. SPENT 3 HOURS TO TRY TO GET IT HOOKED UP AND NO LUCK. TOOK IT BACK AND BOUGHT ROKU.

I really dont know why I bought this, I want to take it back but I think it has been to long to return it. I have no use for it. Wish it could play video from my phone to the tv. Dont buy it...

This unit requires wifi to work, its not plug and play... let alone wireless, it also requires a power Usb cable. I didn't like it st all.

The Chromecast works as advertised, but I ordered when Best Buy was advertising a 3 month Netflix subscription included with purchase. When I did not receive the promised subscription, Best Buy customer phone support first denied the bonus then admitted it had been left on the website after the promotion had ended the week before. They then agreed to honor the promotion IF I could send them a screenshot of the promotion. Needless to say I did not have a screenshot so they refused to provide any relief for my loss of 30 bucks worth of value in my purchase.

I have not really tried it out yet. I could not connect to the internet. The piece shipped quickly and was pretty easy to use. One of several electronics I have tried to use to access netflix

I'm of the mindset that a remote control is very useful with this type of a device, therefore I would choose another type of streaming device - but for the money, you can't beat it...

You're better off saving your money and just buy a bluray player with streaming capability. Sure it streamed movies, but was a pain to have to set up the movie on phone, tablet or pc.

I wanted to stream video clips from a website, and even though it worked great with youtube or Netflix, it doesn't work the same for all websites. Not very easy to set up either

Ridiculous set-up. I installed it on my laptop, iPhone, iPad Air and another tablet running android. The u-Tube works on laptop and using the Chrome browser it works fine; but could not display the picture files on the tv. iPhone & iPad would not display anything on tv including the Android tablet. It would say "not compatible" or on the "works". I also installed the browser and the chromecast software. It was a very disappointing experience. I own an Apple TV and that thing works immaculately, no problem what so ever.

What is the point that none of the mobile device can cast including Android. Only a laptop or a desktop can only cast using google chrome.

I looked forward to using my smart phone to control my non-smart TV. However the phone app had extremely few controls compared to a normal TV remote. I returned this to the store.

Only You Tube and netflix you can stream via this unit. Also you have to reset the power quite often for this unit to be recognized.

I expected this product to cast the entire ipad screen to the TV. This product only casts certain apps which made it useless for me.

I wanted to play videos from my PC on my TV. This device will not do that - or, only in a limited way by using RealPlayer. The native device will not send videos from my PC. RealPlayer only sends a few video codecs directly to the TV, others have to be uploaded to the Player cloud, transformed and played from the cloud - which might require paying for storage. I did not investigate using Netflix, etc.

These Chromecast devices are kind of a pain, having to use your phone to link the videos. I soon replaced these with Roku Sticks. Easier and better.
