Can turn the TV on through the phone app which is pretty cool. bought it on a black Friday deal so it was tough to pass up.

I was looking for something to be able to watch Netflix and YouTube on in my bedroom and didn't want to rely on my wii's terrible wireless card any longer as it would pause what i was watching if the wifi signal wavered. i gave the Chromecast a try and it is exactly what I needed AND is in HD! I have recommended this to everyone not only because of the price point but also thanks to the quality. More and more apps are becoming Chromecast ready so why not!?

I wanted to be able to stream content from a web browser to my TV & Chromecast was the easiest way to do it. I was able to stream from all of my devices!

simple. convenient. easy. replaced my old cables. perhaps needs some memory for photo/music/movie storage. that be neat.

I really can see how someone will rate this low, the chrome is amazing, it connects to your Wi-Fi effortlessly, the price beats any other streaming device.

The Chromecast device is fantastic when it works and connects properly. I have had issues with certain applications like YouTube not connecting to the Chromecast device. However, I mostly use it for MLBTV and it works great. If you can trouble shoot issues easily then this device is definitely worth the price.

We have been using this for about 2 years now since dumping cable and satellite. So much free things online to watch and less expensive alternatives to cable and sat like Netflix and Hulu. The only thing I would warn about this and other devices similar is that if left powered up, it will burn data because it rotates through artwork in idle. This uses a lot of data while you are not using it. So I unplug mine while not using. Other than that I do recommend this to others.

I tried everything I could. I called and emailed Google for help. Turns out my wireless router is not compatible with the Chrome Cast device. Bummer. my kids love Netflix, and my husband and I watch a lot of Hulu. Was really looking forward to being able to "cast" to my TV from my computer, and not have use the HDMI cable and leave my computer across the room. So I had to send it back to Best Buy. Best Buy was great at allowing me to return the device to the store, they even paid the return shipping on it. I'll be getting a Kindle Fire Stick soon. It comes with it's own remote, and it actually streams THROUGh the device, so no additional computer/tablet/phone is required, unlike the Chrome Cast.

Very easy to use with my iPhone 6 and Netflix. I had to call Verizon Fios to have my router tweaked; works great. Only wish I could cast Apple stuff.

This is a great product. It's portable, compact, tiny and lightweight. Great for streaming everything on the go!

This is a great product for someone who wants to stream easily to their TV from any device in their house. You can use services such as Netflix, Google Play Movies, Google Play Music, and Youtube, and stream all of them directly to your television. One complaint that some people have is the fact that it is somewhat limited on what services it offered at launch, but there are more being added, such as Hulu + and HBO Go. Overall, it's a great device for day to day streaming, and once it has all the most popular providers, it will definitely be the one to have.

purchased this mainly for hbogo app and works just like they say it does. easy to set up and works with iphone. only thing i did not like was that it buffered a couple times, but that was do to 3 computers, 4 phones, and 2 ipads on the network running at the same time. For the price it blow apple tv away.

Bought this for a gift at Christmas. Best Buy had it on sale for $25, so it was a real deal. great inexpensive gift.

I love this - GREAT, take it with me as I travel a lot, use it to watch Movies, etc at no charge since wifi is available at most places. Love it !!

It's as simpsle as plug and play. U might have to do an app to play movies u dl but besides that it works great

Love to watch netflix, hulu, and youtube on it. Very useful if you have a TV that doesn't have anything to use for entertainment. Cheap too.
