This little device is pretty awesome...it will stream just about anything that I can find on my phone to my TV in beautiful HD. So many programs are adding in the chromecasting feature now, it's totally worth the $30 to have all the content from your android device on your giant TV screen. I'm sure I've just hit the tip of the iceburg with the functionality of this little gadget, but I may have to buy one for every TV in my house.

this device allows you to show the screen of your android phone and/or tablet on your HDTV. Eg, I use this to share my photos with family on our large screen TV. I can also browse the web using chrome on my smart phone and then display the web page on the TV. This requires a tv with spare hdmi port. AC charger is included. If you dont have a smart TV or bluray player, chromecast allows you to stream netflix, youtube, music, etc.

I use this in my bedroom to stream netflix through my ipad, and it works great. It's simple to set up and easy to use. The only issue is the limited # of apps it supports at this time, but knowing that will change in the near future, this is a steal at $30. streaming quality is great as well.

The setup was easy and it works, so all and all its a good product.

We bought this on a whim on black friday a year or so ago, and it has been a lot of fun watching netflix and youtube on this, but up until the release of the new Chromecast, it hasn't been good for much else. Only now are enough apps becoming available that I can really recommend this to anyone beside those heavily invested in Google Play media content.

This worked as promised. Easy to set up and move from tv to tv.

This is a great value for the money and is very easy to use with a smartphone or tablet. The only drawback is the lack of app support it currently has, but that's supposedly changing before too long. At this price, it's hard to pass it up.

Google has yet to disappoint. Chromecast is great for anyone who would like to broadcast what they are watching, looking at, or even doing on their computer. Instead of crowding around a computer screen, or a phone, this allows others to see. With a good quality TV, the overall system is perfect! It's easy to install, for those who are pretty well established with technology. However, there was no set manual, aside from the small booklet. For those who are not electronically-advanced, you may run into trouble. Yet, when it is set up, it is quite easy to use. I bought this for myself, who doesn't watch TV, but online. Now, I can "cast" my videos on the screen. As well as just to enjoy the features that it includes, such as getting more use out of the offline apps from the ChromeWebstore, and the internet. This is a great product, and highly recommend! The price is great, the technology is amazing, and technology has made a great leap forward! Way to go Google!

:The Good -Very easy setup -Better price than the Apple TV device -Easy to use -Doesn't require super fast internet speeds. Netflix requires 6 Mbps to play in HD so any more than that and you are golden. :The Bad -Must be plugged into a wall socket, or a USB slot on a device (TV, Computer, etc.) -The device does heat up pretty quick. :Supported Programs -Supported programs are Netflix, Youtube, Google Play, and Chrome browser, at the moment, more is expected though (Hulu Plus, Pandora, and more) :Review in 6 words Amazing device, and Well Worth It

I heard good things about Chromecast so decided to give it a try. It's a really cool device and is compact, but still sticks out from the side hdmi port so it's kind of visible. That's minor though and I like how it makes Netflix and other apps accessible through my tv. Love it!

This is a great product and good price point. However I wasn't aware that it isn't able to be used with all streaming apps. For instance, it doesn't work with the Xfinity TV APP for comcast. It only works with compatible apps.

I bought this with the intent to mainly cast from my Droid Bionic to my one TV that doesn't have its streaming capability. Unfortunately, there is currently a known bug with the Droid Bionic that prevents Netflix from casting. YouTube does cast okay. You also can't cast from your phone's Chrome browser like you can on your computer's Chrome browser. So, I'm limited to using this with casting from a laptop for now until further updates are made. There is a lot of potential if more 3rd party Android apps are able to incorporate the ability to cast. Maybe it's too early for that. It would also be great if you could cast local files (from a PC or from a smartphone). Until more open functionality is implemented, my review is unfavorable. It did not meet my expectations and definitely did not meet the hype. Pros: Easy to setup, casting from some phones (only certain apps like Netflix, YouTube, Good Play Movies... at least for now), cast from Chrome browser (from computer only, not phone). Cons: Very limited functionality with phones, some phones that should work are having some issues (Bionic and others not able to cast Netflix), can do most of these things (and more) by plugging a laptop with HDMI directly to the TV, can't cast local files/content.

Convenient to use with my ipad. I use it alot when I stream my subscriptions on my ipad
