* Ease of Use -> Not for everyone,especially for those who wanted browse channels. * Technology -> Innovative * Usefulness -> It lacks a lot features for example all my favourite movies,music collected over a period of time is in HDD. How do i watch without new software or new device. * Definitely great product but needs a lot support for Apps. * Casting from devices a lot of lag even i do a tab cast, whatever. Perfect for Youtube and Netflix. Many apps but none work so great. Coming back to my return. called up local Bestbuy mobile store for returns. Checked online and the product is eligible for return, Yet the scene at store different. The store person says my order not found, whaatt.. called up customer care they say it can be returned in the store. Need to wait tell the guy at the counter about this. Wait Wait.. and he checks again says order found. How, within 15mins ? It shows how reluctant he is to take the product back. I never expected this from Best Buy. I think thrice before entering best buy site and buy.* My Thought: Hyped up product. i love my roku more than Chromecast

Great device. Easy to use. The only thing is mine was stolen/ lost the next day after I purchased it and there was no way of finding it, i even activaded it and linked it to my email. I tryed to see if i can find it by the serial number I had on the box but customer support at best buy said there was no way to track it so I was disappointed about that and I had to buy another one.

I wanted to try streaming video service and had a non-smart TV. Chromecast allowed me to experience the streaming world with a very modest investment. The setup was fairly easy, should be a piece of cake for anyone who has setup a WiFi connection on a device. I use Chromecast with Netflix and get excellent video quality. It works with both my Android phone and iOS tablet. The user interface is only OK but I feel the Chromecast is a great value..

I was hoping to use this on the road at hotels, but at the one we were at they blocked off the HDMI ports. I still use it if I am visiting friends/family for portable entertainment.

I bought one being a little skeptic. Well then I bought two more. Yes I got really lucky finding them. These are awesome. You can go to the play movies, watch reviews, rent the movie and watch it on tv. In the middle if you want to change rooms simply pause it click on other tv and bam it is up on the other screen. It works with Play Movies, Youtube and with Netflix perfectly. So much easier using my tablet, which I use all the time, versus a remote.

My boys love to cast YouTube videos to our tv & the whole family can enjoy. A little tricky to initially set up, but finally got it to work Best Buy was helpful over the phone!

I bought the Google Chromecast for myself. My daughter and I both liked it so much I bought her one for Christmas. Great features that work flawlessly. The three months of Google Play music was a plus. Easy to install and easy to use. Works with Netflix, Rhapsody, Hulu, Comcast online TV.

Have two of these and they work great with apps optimized for it (Netflix, YouTube, VideoStream) even with an economy internet package of 4Mbps. A remote would make it even better.

Google's Chromecast is very good for streaming videos from Youtube, Netflix, and Hulu Plus. However, it's been over 3 months since it came out and no more apps have been included to its limited list. The price is fair, and the quality is alright.

i have a samsung tablet and a samsung chromebook and if i want to watch anything on either on a bigger screen i just use the chromecast and shoot it to my tv , it is awesome

Not quite powerful like standalone streaming devices like Apple TV or Roku, but it's inexpensive but useful, especially if you use Android-based devices with non-smart TV.

Works most of the time, but will not handle Amazon Prime movies. Also, some YouTube movies won't work with this. Other than that it is good.

I am impressed with this little device. The setup took longer than it should have and the wife's I pad still does not recognize it. My Google tablet picked it right up. Netflix and Youtube are crisp and clear on a 39" flat screen, I haven't tried Hulu or Amazon yet. If you are looking for the best and have mucho dinero then just go ahead and get the Tivo but for $40 instead of $300 I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Finally a simple streaming device that's also affordable!

I was able to get it to work after searching for issues that others experienced. I had to reboot my router, laptop and television, then it would connect if I went to YouTube, but not through the Chrome Browser. Once I got that working, I was streaming video and the audio didn't sync with the video well at all. At a lower resolution, I could get things to work, but no one wants a low resolution plastered across a huge HDTV. I even have 50Mbps bandwidth at home and a Netgear AC router that has great performance. I also didn't like that the AC adapter was required. I had hoped to use this as a way to easily display my laptop screen over HDMI to a TV or monitor while on the road for work, but it just isn't a good solution for that. At least Best Buy has a great return policy, so I could get my money back. It is worth at least trying it out to see if the stars align for you, just don't be surprised if it takes 20-30 minutes to get working and then you aren't satisfied with the performance.

this is probably the best purchase in the recent times. We not depend only on chromcast for all our entertainment needs and its ever growing apps improves it by day

This device does what the commercials and product label says. It was a breeze to connect and streams excellently through my Netgear 6200 Router. I am very pleased with the video and sound quality. Once you open the package there is an adapter that allows you to gain more power by plugging it in to A/C. Follow that route. I am sure that's what's allowing me to get such a clear picture. At this very moment I have been able to use two applications through the Chromecast, Netflix and YouTube. I am able to lock my phone and even use other applications with them interrupting my streaming video. I am even able to use Facebook! This is must have for anyone looking for a simple way to integrate their smartphone with their TV. I do believe Android users have a better advantage with this device. Still love it though!

If you don't have hulu or netflix on your TV then this is good item to buy. Other than that, that all it does you can not play itunes movies on it or any other movies. You can not surf the internet or watch amazon movies on it. I mean for the price it good, but it just does not do enough.

I got this for Christmas from my brother and I have to say it is the BEST gift he's ever given me. I just plugged it in to an available HDMI slot on my tv, downloaded the app and that was it. My only complaint is not being able to stream personal videos. Otherwise, GREAT!!
