Dont, get me wrong, I love the chromecast my main issue is a major one for me. It can only be used with videos from online. If you have a video on your phone thats not from online. You cannot use the chromecast with it. But with everything else it works amazingly.

At $35 with $24 worth of Netflix, Chromecast is a steal! Setup wasn't fool-proof. My Chromecast didn't connect when I tried it with my laptop. But I successfully used my Nexus 7 2013 - that I bought 2 weeks ago - to set it up. Now I can stream to my non-smart TV using my laptop or Nexus 7. Chromecast is a game-changer.

Wish I had done some more research before I bought this, but for only $35 it was worth a shot. I bought this to use while I travel in hotel rooms, sounded good in theory but most hotels these days have a splash page where you have to accept their terms and conditions. This basically stops you from using the Chromecast at all. So if you are looking to use it for travel don't bother, haven't been able to use it at the last 4 hotels I stayed in. With that said it was easy to setup on my home tv and worked fine. but I really don't need it there because i'm already setup with Xbox, cable, etc...

Buy it, buy it, buy it. It's easy to set up and use. Google and other developers will start adding to it soon so it can only get better.

If you've got an Android device, or Chrome on your laptop/desktop, this is a great tool to have to stream things to a larger TV or a projector. My wife and I regularly watch movies or shows via this thing on the big screen. And it's only $35!

for $35 this is a great way to throw netflix to your tv. sadly, that's all I've used it for. until they allow local content or even allow plex to be installed it has very limited use for me since I've also got a sony google tv unit. but it's still one heck of a buy.

For the most part, when I have used this there hasn't been too many issues. It is definitely not flawless. I have tried watching Netflix using the chromecast, but it stops about every 10 minutes to buffer, which gets annoying. Also, whenever I try watching a movie on Google Play, it will lag and freeze a couple times.

Can control this with my Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, cell phone, other tabs, pc's, laptops. Just so clever and useful.

Very good product so as price. I am still using it after more than a year.

I have never had any problems streaming from this stick. I own 2 now and both work great. Highly Recommend.

I have watched this little dongle develop since it's release, and I am thrilled that I picked one up today, Cyber Monday, for 22.99 + tax! I came home, plugged it in, logged onto chromecast.com/setup, and away I go! It came with 2 free months of Hulu+ as well, and I also have a subscription to Netflix, so I've cut as much of the cable cord as I could, down to basic on one older tv, and I'll have excellent services to watch on my main living room tv! Thanks, Google!

With the Chroecast setup on your tv, you can access Google Music, Plex, Vevo, and HBO Go thru it. That's in addition to Netflix, YouTube and Google Movies & TV, I would like more if it could access my movies on my pc. Don't know how/if that's possible.

It is one of those devices where a price makes the biggest difference. With a 3 month of netflix, it is a great value for (effectively making it a $11 device with 3x$8 netlfix). But for $35, I will never buy this device. There are tons of powerful chinese alternatives in this overcrowded market place, for almost the same price, and those devices are really open. For a $11 device it does work great for what it is supposed to do. Play netflix/youtube. But I do already have a lot of other devices to do the same. The casting is not that great and has some limitations. For somebody who just want a plug and play device, which just works, but only care about netflix/youtube, this device is perfect, due to its simplicity.

Very easy to set up and start using! You can get beautiful HD action where you might not get it on cable.

Extremely easy to set up and use, works on iOS, Android, and Windows. I expect it to take very little time for app developers to find some creative uses for this.

This will be a good add-on to your non-smart TV. I mean if your TV does not have netflix and youtube integrated in, this product will just turn your non-smart TV into an extension of your laptop's streaming display device and play netflix or youtube very smoothly! It also support cast whole screen. I use this to cast a DVD play via my laptop. However, the video is always about 1 sec delay and that makes sound asynchronized with video play... also, cast full screen is not as smooth as cast netflix or youtube streaming. For iphone cast, currently only netflix and youtube are support. Hope one day there will be an app for whole iphone screen cast. I would very like to play infinity blade on my big screen TV. lol

The device works fine with my IPhone 5 but after using it with the new Amazon 7 Tablet for 2 weeks, it no longer is compatible with my new tablet; even though at the time I purchased the Amazon 7 tablet I was advised by the Amazon rep who was just putting up the tablet display at my local Best Buy store that their tablet was indeed compatible with the Chromecast unit. I called Amazon tech support today for assistance and I was told my an Amazon Tech rep on the phone today that their tablet is Not certified compatible with the Chromecast -:( Tomorrow I'm returning the Amazon 7 Tablet to Best Buy as my primary purpose for buying a tablet is for TV video streaming with the Chromecast device.

This product allows you to watch Amazon, YouTube & Netflix on a TV that does not have cable service.

Cool little device to stream youtube videos to the TV. Now with Plex enabled, would come in very handy. Would've been great if you could bring to a hotel TV and stream videos, but requires a router. Will get better as it gets more support from apps.
