Wasn't too sure about it at first. But then I discovered a few apps that made this very worthwhile. I have watched many movies and my wife and child even more. Works better with android devices but there is a handful of apps for ipad that make it usable with idevices.

Seriously who likes this - have you ever tried another product. I am currently typing this review on my TV, through Chromecast, after spending hours trying to get an apple product to recognize it. After giving up, and using my Android phone and Windows 7 laptop the setup was a breeze. That said after looking at Netflix, YouTube and sort of Google play, I switched back to a DVR, and then Apple TV. For $35 you can buy a DVR that can do a lot more, yes you can even cast your phone window if you have a DVR that has a remote app on your phone. In the end my ranking of this product is at the bottom below 1) ROKU 2) Apple TV 3) DVR 4) DVD 5) Old cable connected to TV 6) SmartTV 7) Chromecast For the price take your wife or girlfriend to a movie - you will get a lot more enjoyment out of it.

I use this to stream stuff from my phone and my PC to my TV and it works great.

It's so convenient and easy to plug into the tv and start watching my favorite shows.

Sure sounds like a wonderful, handy gadget! Too bad my installation was IMPOSSIBLE and there were no instructions anywhere for a novice to install this. All "instructions" seemed to assume that everyone already knows how to do it. Oh well, I'll just stick to my HDMI cable setup, I guess. (Even trying to get this review online is no easy task!)

I bought this device since it was from Google and it would be open to all platforms. My purpose was to use it to wirelessly cast photographs and videos taken on my Windows phone to share on a large screen tv. Found out this device is not compatible with Windows phone. Returned it.

I love this product! The chromecast makes watching tv and movies that much easier!

Get this now. This is so affordable, with 3 months of free Netflix, it is a no brainer!

Anything you view on your chrome browser will show up on your tv. I love it. I've been using it for about three weeks on a daily basis and it's only dropped a connection once. You won't be disappointed with this offering.

I was looking for an easy way to watch netflix and HULU and that type of thing on my TV. I was using my PS3 before. The PS3 blows this thing away and so does the ROKU streaming stick. I guess if you want to mirror your laptop or phone on the TV this is pretty cool, but for what I wanted to do the Roku was over the top better. If you want to view your computer content on your tv just use an HDMI cable and get a wireless mouse and keyboard. That is so much better.

Very versatile. Works fine on my Samsung 500T with Atom processor and Mac Mini running Vista in a Parallels emulator.

Not worth the money. Would much rather buy apple tv, despite it's nuisances.
