Customers are saying

Customers love the impressive battery life and overall performance of this device, which users frequently highlight as a top benefit. Many appreciate the intuitive ease of use, sleek minimalist design, and the accuracy of its health tracking features like heart rate and sleep monitoring. While the product is highly regarded for its lightweight and comfortable size, some users have expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the band and occasional inconsistencies with connectivity. Overall, the device is well-received for its functionality, though minor improvements to the hardware and setup process would be welcomed.

It only lasted for 7 months before I had to get a replacement through FitBit. It would no longer hold a charge and the time was off by a minute. The replacement is just for the display itself, no new bands are provided.

It works fairly well. I like the features on it but the Youtube Music integration is kind of annoying. Why not add Spotify? Good at keeping track of your health but locking features behind a paywall is also disgusting

Hi there, NelsonF. Sorry the Charge 6 wasn’t quite what you were expecting. That said, comfort is important so you may need to change bands to fit your needs — here’s how:

      1. Turn over your tracker and find the band latches.
      2. To release the latch, use your fingernail to press the flat button toward the band.
      3. Gently pull the band away from the tracker to release it.
      4. Repeat on the other side.
      5. To attach a band, press it into the end of the tracker until you hear a click and it snaps into place. The band with the buckle attaches to the top of the tracker.

This isn’t as great as I’d hoped. I’ve had older, cheaper Fitbits that worked better. This continuously drops off Bluetooth and the battery charge only lasts about 4 days.

The watch works much better than the previous models I have owned. I like the fitness tracking application. The charging mechanism is much improved. The watch face selection is poor. To get a better one you need to purchase the premium package. The basic watch band really “Basic.” You need to purchase better bands. To early to judge durability of this watch but previous generations lasted about 2 years before they band mechanism gave out and wouldn’t accept new bands. Charging is much easier with the magnetic clasp. Comfort will improve when I get a better band.

My Charge 6 broke after 8 months Fitbit is now owned by Google who now makes you send it back and wait up to a month to get it back(Fitbit used to send you a new one in 2 days and you would return the old one in the package they sent you) I will never buy a Fitbit again!

I replaced my Charge 5 with the Charge 6. I need to check my heart rate while I'm exercising. This was never a problem with the 5 but the 6 only shows 2 dashes where the heart rate is supposed to be over 50% of the time. Also, there is a known problem with the Oxygen app. It is installed, but in the morning, when it is supposed to show my average overnight oxygen level, it says I need to install the app to use the feature

Hi there, Kenneth. We hear your concerns regarding inconsistent heart rate tracking on the Charge 6 — we get how frustrating this is. Heart rate tracking accuracy is affected by your personal physiology, device placement on your arm, and the activity you're doing. Here’s a few tips to get better readings:

      1. Wear your Fitbit device on top of your wrist with the back in contact with your skin. When not exercising, position it a finger's width above your wrist bone.
      2. During exercise, wear it slightly tighter and higher for a snug fit that doesn't restrict blood flow, as this can affect the heart rate signal.
      3. Frequent wrist bending during activities can also interfere with the signal if the watch is worn too low.

Regarding not getting SpO2 data, there could be a few things impacting the readings:

      1. Turning off any SpO2 clock face or app permissions can cause the feature to stop functioning.
      2. You must get at least 3 hours of quality sleep. Data is only collected when you’re still. If you move a lot during your sleep or the sleep session is too short, you might not get SpO2 data.
      3. Charge your Fitbit device to make sure it’s able to collect data throughout your entire sleep session. Note that you may have to charge your Fitbit device more often when using an SpO2 clock face or app.

Pretty good looking device, but the software support is garbage. Upgraded from charge 2, and impressed by the interface. however, Fitbit team (currently owned by Google) does not seem to provide enough software support on fitbit products. Experienced quite often bugs, such as data sync with the app and missing data. I am seeing a sinking ship of fitbit under Google.

Hi there, RosemaryH. Good news! The Charge 6 has a magnifier feature to help you read text on the screen — here’s how to set it up:

      To Turn On Magnification:
      1. Swipe down from the clock face and tap the Settings icon to open it.
      2. Swipe up and tap Magnify Settings. Turn on the switch under Magnify.
      3. To switch between 2x and 3x magnification, tap Zoom Ratio.
      4. Press the button to return to the clock face.

      To Magnify the Display:
      1. Gently triple-tap the screen to zoom in.
      2. Press the button or tap the screen once to zoom out.

It was great while it lasted, but that was a very short period of time! My husband bought this as a replacement for one that he got less than a year ago when it stopped holding a charge a few weeks ago, and then he had to replace this one yesterday after the screen stopped functioning for no reason. We moved to a different Fitbit style and are crossing our fingers that it's a bit more durable!
