DON'T GET IF YOU USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUTUBE MUSIC!!!! If you want to workout with music playing from Spotify or Apple music, know that you can not change the track from your watch. On the other hand, this might be a great fitness tracker, but i immediately returned it after finding out you can only control YouTube music with it, not any other kind of music player. Very disappointing. Especially since Google is known to be the open os platform yet they force you to pay for music services through them to get the full experience of this health tracker.

    Sleep tracker issuses unresolved

I purchased my Charge 6 mainly for tracking steps and sleep. Sleep data for the last 2 months has been wildly inaccurate and inconsistent. Fitbit support just keeps putting me off.

Hi there, Kthomas. We hear your concerns regarding not getting the most accurate readings from the Charge 6. Here are a few things to confirm to get the best results:

      For step tracking:
Confirm your height and wrist settings are correct in the Fitbit app to get the best results. Since it uses height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average.

      For sleep tracking:
      1. Check if your sleep setting is set to Sensitive. If it is, change it to Normal.
      2. For accurate sleep tracking, position your device 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone, ensuring a secure but comfortable fit.
      3. To adjust a sleep session’s start or end time, edit it in the Fitbit app.

Charge 6 - Inaccurate step count

Purchased for a friend as an upgrade to a sub $50 sport watch. The Charge 6 looks great, and has more features than the less expensive watch, but it is less accurate in counting steps. A 100 step test with the cheap watch returned a 100 step count. The Charge 6 test returned 112. We changed the dominant hand setting to dominant to lessen sensitivity and the test resulted in 92 counted. I own a Versa 3, which I've found to be quite accurate. They need to fix the Charge 6.

These devices are banned for kids under 13

Turns out that this cannot be used for a kid under 13 as they're banned for privacy reasons, which is an awful thing to find out on Christmas. So now I have to trudge the thing back to the store and get maybe a Fitbit ACE for kids or something, but naturally they're not on sale anymore or anything. I'm rather miffed.

Hi there, VeronicaM. Sorry to hear you're having problems with battery levels on your Charge 6. The device should last about 7 days on a single charge — here’s some tips to reduce battery consumption:

      1. Turn off always-on display.
      2. Use phone GPS instead of built-in GPS.
      3. Dim the screen or enable auto brightness.

I purchased a Charge 6. Spent 2 hours trying to pair it with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Impossible to pair with an iPhone as it keeps aborting during connection. I returned it, and got a replacement Charge 6. Same problem and it never paired with my iPhone that works great with everything else. Returning this 2nd piece of crap device back to store tomorrow. It is not worth even the $99 black friday sale price.

I bought my Fitbit HR6 in February 2024 and it has already died. It was working one evening and the next day it was dead as a doornail. My husband called Best Buy and they said to call Fitbit cause it was past the piddly 15 days of their return/exchange policy. We won’t be heading back to purchase anything from Best Buy anytime soon.
