Meanwhile, we suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view for cameras set up in the Google Home app.

What your camera picks up depends on your chosen settings. You can customize which events are detected and recorded (people, movement, packages, etc.). Using activity zones to focus on specific areas can also improve things.
Also, checking for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the cameras and your router can help, as these items could block the connection. If you have a good Wi-Fi connection but the doorbell is offline, this can happen if the device gets too hot or too cold, and can be avoided by these:
- Your doorbell should not be exposed to direct sunlight
- Avoid placing your doorbell near objects that can cause overheating.
- The device needs good air circulation, and don’t install it in any kind of small box or enclosure as this can cause overheating.
- If mounted outdoors, you can install it under an eave or overhang, or even install a small shade above it.
