Got it and it didn’t work. So they sent me a replacement. Took about 3 weeks tell I was able to get my unit up and running. Ridiculous!!!

Refurbished product was broken still when received

I returned it and purchased the basic nest thermostat and have had great success with that.

Great for someone that understands how to use it

I wish I got one of those which are almost mint condition but that's all right because it works perfectly and there were no hardware issues. I have another 3rd gen learning thermostat along with other Google ecosystem and I am familiar with the tech stuff that goes into such software focused thermostats so I was able to set it up easily. If someone is not comfortable about the software stuff and Google home, I would advise against this thermostat. I am familiar with low voltage wiring and also with home electrical system so I loved that I was able to use my 2 wire boiler and hook up the 4 wire cooling system on the other side and the nest gets continuous power from the cooling side and there is a disconnect between Rc and Rh. It shows the same in its wiring diagram as well. Super happy with the purchase since I got it refurbished, coupled with holiday sale.

Worked for a few months, you’ll have to replace it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It worked great for a few months but then we got this weirdd message about not being able to connect to our wifi (error W5) we tried resetting it, that didnt work, called and then they sent a replacement, I was like wow this is great, they just offered to replaced it without any push back. Well, then I found myself calling them back for the same issue a few months later, now I have the same issue after my 4th replacement. I obviously cant get my money back but I will not recommened anyone buying this thermostat unless you are ok calling cuatomer service over and over again every 4/5 months. Im buying an ecobee now, hoefully that would be better

After spending a lot of time with google support they gave up and told me to return it to best buy. Previous buyer returned it for the same reason and BestBuy just repack it and sold it again.

The one that did not work could not find WIFI nor would it charge even after being plugged directly into an electrical socket for several hours. 2 issues that I thought would have been found during refurbishment. I returned the faulty nest but customer service credited the wrong credit card (one that had expired) and not the one that was charged for the product. After several phone calls, I still have not been reimbursed.

Buyer beware geek squad certification

The geek squad "certified" nest damaged electronic control module on the blower motor and now will have to claim property damage with best buy to have it fixed. Buyer beware of geek squad certification!!

Best Buy has given me the total run around and will not take responsibility. My new nest learning thermostat on the main floor works like a charm. Never trust the geek squad or bestbuy
