My old Google nest speaker was never like this. Sadly it finally but the dust. Also I don't find the sound quality very good. If i did it again, I would get a different option. All this said, it mostly works well and does what asked.

They didn't need to have any other devices other than googke home app on phone to be able to use it in their bedroom or living area and are very happy with my gift. I recommend!

Solid Speaker, OK voice recognition

It can definitely play music very well but that is only one aspect when you purchase a Google Home device. I replaced a Google Home mini with this speaker in our living room which is quite large and open floor plan with 14 feet tall ceilings. If youre on the front side of the speaker it has 0 problem hearing you and performing actions. We have a couch table behind our couch in the living area and the speaker is facing out to the other areas in our living room. When on the couches its 50/50 if it will even hear you when talking to it which is disappointing but pointing it towards the couches resolves the issue.

Awesome smart speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well I am absolutely amazed with this quality I decided to buy one when they were on sale for about $79 and it was definitely a fantastic investment I bought three in total for different rooms of my house and I was just blown away with how well they sounded, the Google Assistant works a lot better than my Siri it just functions a lot better, also you can activate it even on high volumes which I'm surprised so it's great, also I've noticed after a few days it seems to adjust its sound quality to fit the room because it only gets better over a few days

The result? A lot! The sound is much more faithful and carries much more clarity, particularly at louder volumes. The Google Home was downright muddled in comparison, something I hadn’t ever noticed! Response time is quick on commands and the updated alarm sound is pleasant. All in all a great, affordable assistant. If you’re looking to skip the screen, this is a no brainer for a home speaker for a kitchen or bedroom!
