Plenty of volume and very responsive to voice commands. Bass is a bit muddy and the highs are fair. I use mine for streaming SirusXM.

So far, it has worked well and we even have a second one to get a more stereo like quality.

Great Speaker, Google Assistant hit and miss

The Google Assistant has usually been very good at providing helpful answers, but it can sometimes be a pain, not responding to a command that worked the previous day, for example. This odd behavior is somewhat normal for all of the assistants though, so its not like there is much of a better option out there. Works great if you are in the Google ecosystem.

Being specific with your query will help you get better responses. Make sure the Nest speaker recognizes your question correctly. Ask the same question to see if you will get the same answer. Alternatively, retraining your Nest Audio with the Voice Match can improve your experience, especially if you have other family members sharing your device. Here’s how:
- Open the Google Home app on your mobile phone or tablet.
- At the top right, tap your account.
- Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
- Tap Assistant settings > Voice match > Add devices.
- Make sure any devices you want to link your voice to are checked.
- Tap Next, I agree.
- Follow the in-app steps.
- To get your personal information, you must turn on Personal results.
- Tap I agree and proceed with the Voice match setup.
- To invite others to set up a Voice Match for tailored results, tap Invite, choose your communication method, and send the invite. To skip this step, tap No, thanks.

The sound quality is wonderful. It will not get so loud that it rattles your windows obviously but it has a good full range of the sound spectrum. It is a bit on the warm side giving emphasis to its mid bass and lower bass frequencies but done so in a way that doesnt cover up vocals and highs. It has features and intelligent processing to turn them into a true surround sound experience if you want too and I think that adds a huge degree of value to an already awesome deal.

Not enough to get over a nest mini

The mic is the same if not worse the only thing here is that this one gets louder and might sound better. Returned since the nest mini gets plenty loud.

I found this upgraded model, Google - Nest, on sale for about fifteen dollars more. The sound quality is amazing. I also love that I can hit pause/play at the top along with the volume up and down on both sides at the top. That was the one thing I hated about my Google mini. It was to easy to bump and turn down during the night. If I sat a bottle water on my nightstand and my thumb touched the mini it would turn it down. I am loving this so far.

I own two of these. along with other variations of google speakers and this one is right up there for clarity and quality with the google home max that was sadly discontinued. Would buy again if looking to upgrade my smaller speakers. I have not tried to pair them into stereo but I am assuming they will sound even better than a single!

I being having it almost for 2 years now, I haven’t have any problem, it was easy to connect to the WiFi and I love the voice activation!! I don’t need to get up and look for the TV remote control to turning on. Love it!!
