I prefer the google max speaker. I don't think these are worth the cost.

Nice speaker with good sound, easy connectivity, and easy to incorporate into my google nest casting groups. This smart speaker seems easy to communicate with and generally picks up commands at a normal speaking level.

This product doesn't sound very good, and if you're thinking you can use these speakers as speakers for your Chromecast, think again. Even though this feature was in the product showcase, it is not supported. Very disappointing.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that your expectations fell short while using your Nest Audio. We are always working to improve our products and services.
Nest Audio is a standalone smart speaker. While you can’t use it as a sound bar for your Chromecast, you can still pair it to your Chromecast and include your TV in a speaker group for playing your music, podcasts and more. Take a look at the following link for more details: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7174267
You can also adjust the bass and treble level of your Nest Audio and Chromecast device in the Google Home app, depending on your preference.
Here's how:
- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Chromecast or speaker. - Open the Google Home app. - Tap the device you want to adjust. - At the top right corner, tap Equalizer settings . - Adjust Bass and Treble level.
Hi there, thanks for the feedback that you shared with us about the Nest Audio. We’re sorry to learn of your issue with the crackling popping sound when playing music.
If you’re willing to try, we suggest these simple steps to isolate the popping noise issue: - On the side of the Nest Mini, toggle the mic switch off. - Your Nest Mini will tell you when the microphone is on or off.
If the popping sound stops, then you can turn the Ultrasound sensing off. This setting is on by default, but you have the ability to turn it off (and then back on as you like) at any time in the Google Home app. Occasionally, other things in your home environment may cause ultrasonic noise and may disrupt Ultrasound sensing for a brief period. This should discontinue as soon as the ultrasonic noise stops. When Ultrasound sensing is turned on, your Nest Mini will detect that you’re nearby if your palm is 2 to 6 inches above your device during media playback. To turn Ultrasound sensing on or off, follow these steps: - Open the Google Home app . - Tap your Google Nest Mini. - At the top right corner, tap Settings > Recognition & sharing. - Turn Ultrasound sensing off.
We care about your experience, and we understand your decision to return it. But if you’d like to give us an opportunity to investigate your issue, please reach out to our dedicated team anytime here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Did not use as the best Buy Geek Squad could not figure out how to hook it up to our family's expensive Sony Bravia XBR tv also bought at Best Buy so that it works. Very disappointed being a longtime customer.

It’s okay. I bought this and an Amazon echo 4th gen to compare the speakers. Amazon’s unit was much better in my opinion. This speaker wasn’t bad just not as good as the echo. I returned it.

Google Assistant might not respond properly when you say “Hey Google” or “Ok Google,” particularly in a noisy environment, or if it's having trouble connecting to Google. Retraining your Nest Audio, to better recognize your voice, and adjusting the Hotword sensitivity may be helpful with the issue. You can also try these simple steps below that might help: - Check your Wi-Fi network for possible congestion. Relieving some of your connected devices may help free up some bandwidth space. - Check the distance between the Nest Audio and your router. Ensure that it is within a line of sight from your router. - Check for wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or appliances and devices nearby. - Restart Nest speaker and router to refresh the connection. - Reset Nest Audio by following the steps here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7073477
