I used an already installed magnetic base so installation was simple. Connecting my ipad to the cameras was also simple. Battery life has been great. They’ve been operating for about a month and they all show as still full. So far just perfect. The picture is exceptionally clear when I check-in online from out of country. I’d say these cameras were a great choice thus far.

Setup was very easy and straightforward but the new devices can only be viewed in the Google home app and not in the nest app which is a disappointment. Quality is as expected though.

Your camera could be detecting a lot of activities, as the battery life depends on factors including activity, temperature, and settings that you select. You can extend its battery life by adjusting the settings like the video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At the time of this review I have see lots of work to be done in the Google Home app where these new cameras need to be viewed. Many features such as video time scanning and clips creations are missing. No complaints of the cameras build quality or video feed. Think the shortcomings of the Google Home software can easily be remedied as long as Google is willing to fix the software. For those users that currently have Nest cameras and want to add to their arsenal of security cameras I'm sorry to say that these are not compatible with the Nest App and MUST be viewed within the Google Home app (lacking software features currently found in Nest app).

Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.

Easy install

I havent had to charge them yet so batteries last a good amount of time of normal use. Mount low and dont expect for it to start recording or detect motion if its further then 50 feet away

Although don't like the fact that it won't give the 24hr recording feature unless it's plugged in. Overall the camera is great it does what it needs to do in my opinion.

Plenty of other cameras cheaper but the quality is good, one of my kids was helping install and dropped the camera and not even a scratch.

I have 5 outside/inside cameras and have to use the newer app but is not as good as the older app from a few years ago.
