Google Nest Battery

Was a bit upset that the Nest app didn't control these, I've gotten used to using the home app now for everything. My front yard camera gets a lot of action and I have to charge it weekly. They remove rather easy and charge in 2-3 hours.

I was told I was buying Security Camera that would be hard wired not requiring recharging a battery. What was installed were battery operated cameras requiring recharging. They are ok but the battery charging looks like it will occur about every 4 weeks.

For the battery life, it will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios:
- Busy - About 1.5 months battery life (about 20 - 25 recorded events per day).
- Typical - About 3 months battery life (about 9 - 12 recorded events per day).
- Quiet - About 7 months battery life (about 2 - 4 recorded events per day).

But if your expecting the camera to show up in the nest app your going to be highly disappointed. You also can't get this camera to stream to nest hub max or onto a Google TV like nividia shield. This camera only shows up on Google home, and only on your mobile. Can't view from pixel book either. The nest to Google home migration is a hot mess and I was looking to go Google all in all cameras , but not now If I can't stream on TV and completely upsetting.not even on nest home max. I will be returning because of this.

It offers you a lot more benefits since you have access to Google´s security features as well. Nest cam 2 pack w/ solar panel

Paired with a couple solar panels so i wouldn't have to charge them all the time

Every other doorbell cam and WiFi camera cannot. If your WiFi goes down because of someone with a jammer, these keep recording up to 3 hours of footage and upload it when they are back online. They also have WPA3 security to require PMF so they can't be deauthed. No other camera besides a hard-wired camera (like PoE) can be used as a security device except these. Thank you Google for trying. Yes the app needs work and they lack features but at least you can rely on them. I tested it out just to be sure. Shut down the WiFi router, moved around in front of these (one plugged in, other on battery), went back and turned the router on and there it was- the footage taken without WiFi sitting right there in the Google Home app like it never missed a beat for both cameras.

At night it really struggles and makes bad calls alot. Cant upload video to your phone while giving a live feed so you cant see things while they happen if you get an alert. So look at your options should have done more research on my part

Best all around outdoor camera

Couldn't be easier

Durable - I dropped one from 8 feet onto concrete while retrieving it for recharging and it still works flawlessly. I have everything Google so these integrated easily and seamlessly.

They provide peace of mind while I'm not at home myself. There are several options to choose for monitoring and notifications with options to maximize battery life.

We had a lot of work going on at our new house and the ability to communicate to the different people working through our camera was incredible! Very clear speaking on both ends and the camera has a huge view area. Love these! We have 3.

Sound is great also. I also like that fact that I can change the angle of the camera. I have had no problem with them magnets. The magnets are very strong holding the cameras up.

They don't last as long as I'd hoped because of the traffic in the areas so I ended up hard writing them to power.
