I'm not sure why these cameras get such a bad review. After having Blink Cameras for almost a year they started to go out, have connection issues and everything. I can only compare the Nest cam against the Blink cameras, and the difference is night and day. I had a problem with people driving across my lawn, and Blink cameras couldn't activate fast enough to record it. I needed something that has continuous recording and Nest cam has done the job! 24 hours a day recording and smart motion alerts telling me if it's an animal, person or vehicle. That's pretty darn cool to me. Also, with Blink, only one person could view a camera at a time.... that's crazy. If you are viewing your backyard camera, your front yard camera won't work... they don't tell you that in the description. Not with Google. You can monitor all your cameras in real time at once from your phone, Nest Hub or computer! The cameras are a bit pricier, but... you get what you pay for. Most people don't want or need 24 hour recording... I love it!

A Best Buy Tech recently installed our two Google Nest Cams in the front and back of our house. The picture quality is very clear during the day or night. The Cams alert us on our phone if someone comes within range. We are happy to have this added security protection.

So far, this set works much better than the older version of the same brand that we had, though pretty expensive.

Loved Nest app but transitioned to Google home, still getting used to it , has a great quality but only records pieces ,not 24 hour videos. I would rather do plugins,but if you’re installing it on a tree or Far from and outdoor electric outlet, Thai is the best camera to buy , life battery last for 30 days or more !

I love being able to have this on my Google home app. A few things I am not happy with. It seems like it doesn't capture people as soon as they get in range of my area. When viewing the history it seems to take forever to view or the viewing stops. They should change on the history that I pick and choose what history I want to delete.

Great products, like the onboard memory to upload clips if network connection is slow. Fair battery time and good video quality at a great service fee for saved video. Would recommend espeically if you have any other google home products!

Best Buy local expert provided a great overview of the product. The installation was extremely easy. Used one in the house and the other outside. Added power cable to avoid removing it for charging and the need to pick the right angle, when remounting. Highly recommend!

Just what I needed. Priced right and we're easy to install and set up. Using them for more than 10 days. Battery life is very good. Activity is normal and battery is holding. Purchased the covers/theft hoods also. Crisp video. I am satisfied with the purchase.

I cannot believe they only send one charging cord for both cameras.

So my review has nothing to do with quality of the product, but everything to do with the service of Google. Ignore the name Nest on these cameras - it's all Google. You are forced to use Google Home and can not view any recorded footage on a computer. They will make you download the Nest App - but you can't use it with this device. When you first sign up they give you the option of signing up for a plan - but never bother to tell you that there are two plans to choose from. A basic plan and a plus plan. If you want to upgrade down way, per Google, they will double charge you. So you pay the $60 for the basic plan and then the $120 for the plus plan. If you don't heed my warning and buy this door bell or buy the cameras, sign up for the Plus Plan because the basic plan is garbage. I originally bought the doorbell and cameras so that I could have access to the emergency call features that are included in Nest Aware - but guess what? It refuses to verify my address, hence can't use that feature. Called Nest Support, they transferred me around five times before they said an engineer would be in touch. Weeks later, no one had gotten back with. This apparently is a common issue and Google doesn't seem in a hurry to correct this issue. So basically I'm stuck paying for and using a device I hate because per them, they don't do refunds. As for the quality of the visuals and the installation - wonderful. The picture is amazing and the installation was easy and I had no issues connecting to any of my devices. But under no circumstances would I ever, ever recommend this device to anyone due the customer service of the company.

Would have gave it a 5 star but was a little disappointed as they only come with 1 charger so you can’t charge both at the same time. If I would have known I would have purchased them separately so I could have had a charger for each. Other than that we love it.

Nice product. Good looking. The magnet holds the heavy camera firmly even under strong wind. Easy to use with the Google Home app. With the extend power cable, it is being charged all the time and I don't need to worry about running out of power.

They hold a long charge (Months) in low traffic areas and easy to install. The recharge is fast too. It also allows you to direct plug in if you have access to a outlet. I like it doesn’t need a power source where you install.

Easy installation no cords to worry about. Battery life is impacted in cold weathet under 30 degeees. But sunmer is good
