    Not Nest quality doesn’t come with everything

    These new nest cameras do not include everything you need. If you want wireless cameras just go with another brand on the market, these are not the same as the original outdoor cameras. Nest app is being phased out, these only work with Google home. Biggest issue, only comes with one tiny charging cable, so even if you wanted to wire this like the original, you now have to spend even more to get another cable, good luck finding one at time of purchase. For this price point, it’s absolutely mind blowing.

    I absolutely love these cameras! We have them in the house to watch the Nanny with our baby and love it! We can see clearly, the motion sensors are on point and the app is easy to use. You will love it too!

    It’s not what I expected! I could be gotten something better with the price I paid for this cameras! At night time, it looks blurry!

      Hi there, EfrainP. We appreciate your feedback on the Nest Cam (battery). We're sorry to learn that you're having some video quality issues at night time. Night Vision video quality can be affected by internet speed and other issues. Below are some solutions to try. Check your camera’s view in the app after each one:

      - Clean the lens with a soft cloth that’s made for cleaning optics. Dust, thumbprints and dirt can cause poor image quality.
      - Turn your camera so that any nearby surfaces or objects (like a wall) are out of view.
      - Use the app to zoom and enhance, and crop out surfaces or objects that may be the cause of the glare.
      - If a bright white shape along the edge appears while everything else is too dark, there might be a surface that’s too close in your camera’s view (like a wall). Angle your camera so the surface stays out of view.
      - Move nearby objects that may reflect the infrared light.

    I bought these after buying the Google doorbell camera. Because I had already setup the doorbell via Google app, adding these were simple. I also bought the extra long outdoor cables. No fault alerts after using for 6 months. No charging needed. working even during power outage.

    These cameras do not detect activity and record it well. I walked several times in front of the cameras to no avail.

      1. Check power, Internet connection and Wi-Fi.
      2. Check that the camera and microphone are on.
      3. Make sure that the camera can spot the activity that you want.

    They work ok, but really wish they worked with the nest app like the others we have. Also, since you really need to hard wire them in order to get all the streaming, they should at least have the option of buying wired ones.

      Nest Cam (battery) has been designed with versatility in mind, it’s an outdoor/indoor battery powered device out of the box, and can be used with a set of various power accessories including two weatherproof cables with power adapter. You can connect your camera to a power outlet with the included or optional power adapter. Connecting to continuous power will keep the battery charged. Please note that the power adapter included with the Nest Cam (battery) is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use and you can use a compatible weatherproof cable (sold separately).

    I purchased these cameras 1 year and 3 months ago and they will no longer hold a charge. They are out of the warranty period so they will not do anything to replace the cameras. Would not recommend as they do not last and they don’t stand by their product quality.

    There was no charging cable in the box. The package had a checklist which said cable is present . But none received. Called their customer support and supervisor team several times and asked for help. But no one helped. Poor experience and pathetic support. Overall what a bad experience

    Not worth the price

    I purchased these with the hopes of adding some security to my home. I am very disappointed with this product. The connection is absolutely horrible!! I can’t even place this outside of my house because of the connection. Even with this sitting next to my router it won’t work very good. Also you can only use the Google Home app and it is trash. I can’t view my live camera feed, but it will record video and I am able to view it. It just recently started doing this. I really should have returned this product and regret that I didn’t.

    Bad Battery Life

    Nice cameras but the batteries were terrible. One didn’t hold a charge and the other one ran out too quickly to be efficient in our climate. Returned the item. Will buy hard-wired cameras.

      Motion detection for Nest Cam (Battery) can be affected by changes in the light level, and shadows moving across the frame like when a cloud moves in front of the sun. This also includes other movements within the camera's field of view like trees or bushes swaying. If you're not getting any alerts or notifications, we recommend trying out the steps below:
      1. Change the Activity Zones on your camera. You can delete your existing Activity Zone and create a new one in any area within your camera's field of view. Just make sure that none of the zones you create overlap.
      2. Change the angle of your camera and account for the lighting in the surrounding area.
      3. Restart your Camera.

    Nice camera and the convenience to put basically anywhere within wifi service. Otherwise a trash product from Nest. The biggest problem I have is they do not work with the Nest app, where all my other cameras are. Only on Google Home. Problem two which isnt as big a deal just annoying I knew they were battery yes, however I expected the charging cable to be a simple usb perhaps. No, not the case it is a specialty magnetic cable that to get one with any sort of length you have to purchase it separately.

      We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app, however, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. Our teams are working on enabling the ability to set up and control older Nest cameras in the Home app so users will have one app to control all of their devices, and we’re working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app as we want to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices. While the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.
