    Totally trashh products, they should bring the nest products back intead and improve them, prices were more justified for nest products, and also the google app is not even close to the nest app interference

    Don’t buy if you have the old bear cams

    Bought directly from google. Easy to install but it took me hours to realize it doesn’t connect the the nest app. I HATE this camera and it borderline wants me to switch to a whole new system.

      Here are some suggested troubleshooting steps you can try out:
      - Check your Nest camera´s distance to the router or access point.
      - Restart your Nest Cam (Battery). Locate the reset button on the back of the camera. Press and hold for 5 seconds. Your camera will restart, and the status light will be steady, solid white.
      - Restart your router.
      - Check for interference. Almost every network is subject to wireless interference which can cause problems when connecting your camera to the Nest app. Check for any wireless interference that may be caused by thick walls and floors, competing Wi-Fi networks, from other electronics in your home.
      - Check the settings on your Wi-Fi router or access point. Some settings on your router or access point could be causing a problem with the connection. High firewall security or parental controls can block communication with Nest servers.

    BIG REJECT on these. Shame on Google!

    Please forgive me BestBuy as I didn't buy these from you. But I do purchase a lot of things from BestBuy which is a store I love. I have been a big fan of the NEST cams for the last 3 years. I have 5 of them. I was super excited to see what new improvements the scientists had come up with in the new 2021 cams. I ordered 2 of them and started to use them... OMG these are terrible terrible terrible I returned them both after about 4 days. I won't type up the long list of problems as so many other people have outlined them but let me say SHAME SHAME SHAME on Google for releasing this very inferior products. There are a big step backwards in my opinion.

    Beware you will need to sign up to the service

    If you don’t sign up to the service after 3 months it will only keep the last 3 hours of recording erasing all others not even a nights worth. Considering they cost on the higher end that seems ridiculous.

The best thing about this subscription is that it will include all your Google Nest devices under one subscription unlike before where you have to pay a monthly subscription for each device.

    Cannot access recordings

    These cameras are constantly reporting “video not available yet; check back later”. I recently have had a tremendous need to access two videos that are not available because of this. This need is to show evidence in court. These cameras and/or software cannot be trusted to record video. I am praying Google will come through and help me retrieve these videos.

    Do Not Buy

    Do NOT buy. Google as had two updates that have ruined the quality of the Google Nest Cameras. Google has run Nest into the ground sibce they bought them out. Getting rid of Nest secure and raising prices for Nest Aware was it for me. Horrible customer service.

    I would prefer you bring back all the previous nest cameras everyone has come to love. These wireless cameras are not worth it. Wake up google. If your more on the serious side if home security dont buy these, if they bring back previous models buy those.

    Great hardware, terrible software (Google Home)

    Sadly Google are ruining Nest. These cams do not work with the awesome Nest app and instead they force you to use the garbage (poor ux, no live camera views, clunky design ) Google Home app. I have a huge investment in Nest but I will steer clear of any new products until they start reinvesting in the Nest app for new products.

    Dont buy Google Nest

    Google nest is the worst camera i ever have. The original Nest is the best. It always disconnected from Wifi and takes awhile to reconnect. Do not waste your money guys

    App is horrible! What happen to Nest App?? The google home app is so unstable and not clean like the Nest app. Why cant I see cameras on my computer as well??

We’re continuing to support the Nest app and the Nest cameras, as well as to deliver critical security updates and software fixes and owners like you shouldn’t notice any difference with your service. Google commits to bring users the same feature and software support you’ve always had. However, we made the difficult decision to stop support for Nest Secure and Dropcam starting April 8, 2024. We will also officially end Works with Nest as of September 29, 2023.       Here are some recommended steps you can try out with the issue:
      - Check the size of your Activity Zone. A big Activity Zone captures more activity. If your zone is too large, objects that don’t seem in the zone can trigger an in-zone recording or notification. In general, the smaller and more precise the Activity Zone, the more accurate your camera’s alerts should be.
      - Avoid overlapping Activity Zones. If you overlap 2 or more Activity Zones, you only receive a notification for the Activity Zone where the activity first occurred. If the activity actually happened in 2 or more Activity Zones at the same time, you only get a notification for one of the Activity Zones.
