Camera quality is fantastic, but I wish the app was a little more robust. I would prefer to "ignore" familiar faces and only show the ones not recognized. I like how sturdy the construction is and the ease of setup is fantastic.

Very easy to install and setup in the Google home app. Satisfied with video quality and overall product. Very very disappointed in the lack of integration with the nest app. Unfortunately I’m all in on the meet cameras. If I were in the position that this was my first camera purchase I would definitely buy into the Arlo family.

These cameras are great especially if you have already bought into the google ecosystem. They are pretty expensive but were very simple to setup. There are only two big issues. You have to pay for 24/7 recording and the battery life is no where close to advertised. Im sure you could get close if you restricted video recording a lot, but defeats the point of the camera. So a power cable is a extra must buy. And as others have mentioned this three pack only comes with one short charger cable, not 3.

Hey there, Jacob. We’re glad that you like the Nest Cam (battery) and how it integrates with the Google ecosystem. We hear your concerns about the battery life and recording feature along with having one charging cable for the multi-pack cameras.

A single cable is included because cameras typically require charging at different times. This is due to factors like how often events occur, what the camera sees, and your chosen sensitivity and recording duration settings.

Meanwhile, you can connect your camera to a power outlet with the included power adapter for continuous power so you can avoid charging the camera more often than you should, which is also required to get 24/7 recording. And as we're always evaluating and refining our products based on customer’s feedback and industry trends, we’ve included three hours of event history right out of the box for the first time ever. Additionally, the Nest Aware (2nd gen) covers all cameras and doorbells added on the same home structure. Please note that the power adapter included with the Nest Cam (battery) is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use, and we suggest using a compatible weatherproof cable (sold separately).

I really love Google cameras. It's easy to install and the charge lasts a really long time. Besides the app, I can even monitor and watch the cameras through a browser online wherever I am with an internet connection! This is fantastic. I installed it myself, so it is battery powered and I need to occasionally charge it. I plan on buying more cameras and having them professionally installed so that they are wired and don't need to be brought in for charging.

Hi GSGS, thanks for posting your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the battery issues you have with Nest Cam (battery).

For the battery life, it will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios:
      - Busy - About 1.5 months battery life (about 20 - 25 recorded events per day)
      - Typical - About 3 months battery life (about 9 - 12 recorded events per day)
      - Quiet - About 7 months battery life (about 2 - 4 recorded events per day)

If you’re willing to try, we recommend checking the frequency of events (per day) that you get with your Nest Cam (Battery). If the short battery life isn’t related to the frequency of events, then we may need to have a closer look at your Nest Cam (Battery) and understand what may be causing it. We’re hoping that you’ll give us another chance to improve your experience. You may contact our support team for further assistance here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp Nest

I have several wired Nest cameras and have been wanting to add a few more to the exterior of the house where bringing power to them would be a real project. I bought this two pack and single pack and within an hour had all three mounted, connected to the app, tested and positioned. I'm impressed with the video quality and the battery life. These cameras are not recording 24/7. They only come on when motion is detected. That is how they manage the battery charge. Battery life is reported in the app where it indicates percentage and approximately how many weeks more of battery life each camera has before needing a recharge. I installed all of them on October 2nd. It's now October 23. The most active camera positioned on the driveway has 6 more weeks (71%) battery life. The other two positioned at the rear of the home still have 8 and 11 months (more than 90%) battery life. For having them up and outdoors for three weeks, the battery life is better than expected.

Hello there, JP01. We appreciate your feedback and we’re sorry to hear that your experience with the Nest cam (battery) is below your satisfaction. We suggest using the included wall mount for surfaces like walls. Simply attach the wall plate with the included screws, then secure the magnetic plate onto the backplate. Both of these mounting options let you power your camera with any power accessory like the weatherproof cables, or run it on battery power.

Also, we recommend having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view. Also, adjusting the camera settings like video quality, wake-up sensitivity, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas, can help improve your experience. And for the night vision, try to angle your camera away from bright lights, or to install the camera in a shady spot. You should also make sure that any nearby surfaces or objects (like a wall) are out of view, since the camera’s infrared light can reflect off a surface. Other tips on how to improve the night vision feature can be found here:: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9259738

Good but not great. I love the Google products but I have the previous generation outdoor Nest cameras and they perform better than these. Perhaps I just need to keep them plugged in instead of the wireless option. The Nest App is better instead of the new Google Home app, which doesn’t give you a preview of the video, you have to open the app and view the clips.

This is a great camera for all intensive purposes but google really needs to step up the integration between the nest app and the home app. Features aren’t available depending on which app you are using and can be particularly confusing if you have cameras from the previous generation.

Great camera. Notification are crazy fast. Yeah you don’t get 24/7 on battery and no charger to not 4K. This is a battery camera. It would not sel well if the battery lasts a day because it records 24/7. It always records events. If you don’t get a notification of close events.. it still records them. Facial recognition is leaps ahead of the last gen.. which I liked a lot. I have a metal fence and I tested out live view. I walked where me head poked out and i got a notification within 1 second that a person was detected (not exagerated. Only disappointment is the sole panel isn’t released yet. Highly highly recommend. If you want a cheap unreliable.. because I have all these get blink or ring.. I’m phasing out my blink and ring. This camera is great.. can’t wait for the nest spotlight to replace my ring spotlight.. Side not- the low rating of this is due to people not comprehending what a battery camera.. when using battery is….
