So far not a bad camera. Still getting use to it. Going to see how long the battery life last
Hi there Shel, thanks for reaching out. Colder temperatures greatly affect the battery life for any device, including Nest Cam (Battery). And during winter, the battery life of Nest Cam (Battery) may have less than half the life that it has at temperatures close to -4°F (-20°C). If you still have some questions, please feel free to reach out to our support team and we'd be happy to help you here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

LOVE!! Easy to mount, and easy to use! We had a lot of work going on at our new house and the ability to communicate to the different people working through our camera was incredible! Very clear speaking on both ends and the camera has a huge view area. Love these! We have 3.

Expensive product with unreliable and terrible performance. You do not have access to old footage, only seen events. I can walk right past these cameras and half the time never trigger an event. About 80% of the time when you open the home app the cameras say no connection and takes clicking refresh over and over.
I do not have the same issues with my wired cameras however when i add all of my cameras they all start to glitch. My wired cameras will record a few seconds and then say video not available for a few seconds and the footage is basically useless and you’re unable to connect and watch the footage live. Eventually (days later) the footage is magically available. When i remove any 1 camera this stops.
So imagine you hear something outside and want to check out what’s going on. Only to be met with a black screen that says video unavailable refresh for 30-45 seconds. Knowing the device doesn’t pick up events half the time and there is no video history.

Hey there. Thanks for sharing your experience with your Google Nest Cam Indoor/Outdoor wire-free. We’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble viewing the live video of your cameras. Sometimes, you might notice a slight delay between your camera’s live video stream and what’s happening in real-time. This is similar to other video streaming services. If the delay is longer than usual, we recommend checking out this helpful article:https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9259827

It mostly works. It goes offline every now and then for no apparent reason. Wi-Fi signal is strong where it is mounted, so there should be no problem.
Picture is good and sensitivity is fine.
Hi there, AndreL. Thanks for the feedback. We’re glad that you like the picture quality and sensitivity of the Nest Cam (battery). It’s unfortunate to hear that your experience with its connectivity is less than ideal.
We recommend checking for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the cameras and your router as these items could block the connection. If you have a good Wi-Fi connection but the camera is offline, this can happen if the device gets too hot or too cold, and can be avoided by these: - Your camera should not be exposed to direct sunlight - Avoid placing your camera near objects that can cause overheating like light bulbs, lamps, large equipment/appliances, air vents, etc. Your camera needs good air circulation. Never install it in any kind of small box or enclosure as this can cause overheating. - If mounted outdoors, you can install it under an eave or overhang, or even install a small shade above it.

Battery is not good at all. Charging once a week at this point. Only have people notifications on. Cords are not long enough if you have in a tough area.
Charging is so slow for 2022. A few hours. Then it doesn't last long.
You want to install this in a easy access spot hopefully with an outlet nearby.
Video says 1080p, but when I look at downloaded recordings. Blurry with any zoom.
Does not detect people walk right near it at my place. But someone across the street I will get a notification.
Not a bad option. But google home doesn't have much to offer regarding settings or video. Cannot even view videos on computer like Nest.

Hi jetsareokay, we truly appreciate our feedback on Nest Cam (battery), and are sorry to learn your expectations are not met.
Your Nest doorbell could be detecting a lot of activities, as the battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and doorbell settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of your doorbell by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. This link might be helpful: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10901611
It only takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge the Nest Cam (battery). And to avoid charging the battery more often than you should, you might want to consider connecting your camera to a power outlet with the included or optional power adapter. Connecting to continuous power will keep the battery charged. Please note that the power adapter included with the Nest Cam (battery) is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use and you can use a compatible weatherproof cable (sold separately).
We request for your patience as we’re working on a seamless solution to create a better user experience. Meanwhile, we suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view for cameras set up in the Google Home app.
Your feedback and experience are important to us. If you’re willing, please get in touch with our specialists team so we can guide you with structured troubleshooting procedures, here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10901611

Great camera. I bought them because I needed a camera that I didn’t need to have plugged in all the time. The salesperson told me it would be months between charges. I have to charge it every night overnight. Which is a hassle and defeats the purpose of having a camera round the clock if it’s charging overnight.

Battery drains fast if in a high movement area, people, cars, etc. Video quality isn’t any better than First Gen. Would have expected more from a company like Google.
Hi there, David. Thanks for your feedback about the Nest Cam (battery). We’re sorry to hear that your experience with the battery life and the video quality is not exceeding your expectations.
We always aim to improve our products, and your experience highlights areas we can address. Motion detection does impact battery life. We recommend checking out the Home app settings to adjust recording frequency and video length to optimize battery usage for your environment. Here's a helpful guide: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10901611
Also, while the Nest Cam (battery) maintains the same resolution as the first generation, it offers improved image processing for better clarity, especially in low-light conditions. You can adjust your camera's video quality for sharper images. Just remember, higher quality uses more internet bandwidth, and your camera will automatically find the best balance between detail and smooth streaming based on your available bandwidth. Picture is better quality than I thought it would be. Sound is great also. I also like that fact that I can change the angle of the camera. I have had no problem with them magnets. The magnets are very strong holding the cameras up.

Love how easy it is to charge and install. The picture quality is good and I appreciate getting the notifications if it picks up a person. I use it in my backyard.
