Busy: About 1.5 months battery life (about 20 - 25 recorded events per day)
Typical: About 3 months battery life (about 9 - 12 recorded events per day)
Quiet: About 7 months battery life (about 2 - 4 recorded events per day)

Regarding the lack of history recordings, please make sure that you have an active Nest Aware subscription. This subscription enables the storage of historical footage in the cloud. Our Google Nest devices, including Nest Cam (Battery), require a high speed Internet and a reliable Wi-Fi connection for the best experience. The Internet connection ensures that you get notifications on your mobile device and enables you to control the full features of your Nest camera using the Google Home app. The connection also enables your Nest Cam (Battery) to save video recordings onto the Google Nest cloud service so you don't miss a thing. Connectivity issues are mostly related to the following:
- Check for possible congestion in your Wi-Fi network. Removing some of your connected devices can help free up some bandwidth space. You may then check to see if you will still experience the same connectivity issue.
- You may also check for possible sources of interference such as the thick walls and appliances in your home.

The new Nest Cam (Battery) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.
