The lithium-ion battery in your Nest Cam (battery) won't be able to charge if the temperatures are below freezing. Lithium-ion batteries are used for their high power and long life, but are also affected by temperatures below freezing. We recommend the following minimum temperatures for your device:
- Minimum operating temperature: -20 °C (-4 °F) - Minimum charging temperature: 0 °C (32 °F)

I have Nest cameras and use the Nest app, THIS IS NOT THE SAME!!! These do not work with the Nest app, they kind of work with Google Home. Took me 7 hours ( most on tech with support) to finally get both cameras working. You can’t continuously record unless you are plugged in and they only come with one plug. Frame rate is awful. They work intermittently. I would never buy again and I certainly would not migrate my existing Nest account to Google home. The Google Home app is garbage compared to the Neat app. This is not a reliable solution for a cordless camera

We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app, however, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. Our teams are working on enabling the ability to set up and control older Nest cameras in the Home app so users will have one app to control all of their devices, and we’re working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app as we want to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices.

Very disappointed with the performance of this camera!!! Set up event zones multiple times per instructions and they would never work correctly. Camera would detect car or person going away from camera but never coming towards camera. Camera now has went offline and will not reconnect with wi fi and seems unresponsive even with full charge. Camera is only a month old

Great product, huge upgrade compared to the old nest cameras. Person detection works amazing. Love that it has a battery, so if you lose power, it will save events.
