Battery Life

The recharge is fast too. It also allows you to direct plug in if you have access to a outlet. I like it doesn’t need a power source where you install.

Unreliable performance

You do not have access to old footage, only seen events. I can walk right past these cameras and half the time never trigger an event. About 80% of the time when you open the home app the cameras say no connection and takes clicking refresh over and over. I do not have the same issues with my wired cameras however when i add all of my cameras they all start to glitch. My wired cameras will record a few seconds and then say video not available for a few seconds and the footage is basically useless and you’re unable to connect and watch the footage live. Eventually (days later) the footage is magically available. When i remove any 1 camera this stops. So imagine you hear something outside and want to check out what’s going on. Only to be met with a black screen that says video unavailable refresh for 30-45 seconds. Knowing the device doesn’t pick up events half the time and there is no video history.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Adequate battery life but disappointed it doesn’t work with nest app. Have to have both apps, because google app not as good as nest app. Two of my other cameras won’t open in google app automatically and not as fast as nest app. Don’t think I will by any more products until there is improvement.

Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app, so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place. Also, using the Google Home app provides you with a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform and access to other Google tools and with seamless integration with other Google devices.

You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. So far after 1 day and not full charging it it only lost 1%. I haven't even begin to set zones. Picture at day or night is amazing.

I did purchase an aftermarket security device for my security device, which anchors it to the wall. Otherwise, the software keeps me up to date, and I know how often the dogs are walked in my neighborhood. Neat.
