The lack of power cable allowed me to put cameras where I needed without all the extra work. I think I’m going on 30 days or so with no battery issues.

I have dogs that go outside several times a day and activate the camera and it still lasts for several weeks. Highly recommend!

But none received. Called their customer support and supervisor team several times and asked for help. But no one helped. Poor experience and pathetic support. Overall what a bad experience

Really disappointing battery life.

Nice cameras, but like the old Nest App better

However, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app.

On-device processing also gives our customers smart alerts and Activity Zones, which historically have required a subscription. There's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your camera is connected to the internet. However, you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to receive advanced notifications. With a Nest Aware subscription your video will be saved to the cloud and you’ll get extra features. That's where the good ends. The Google Home app holds these cameras back and can't even compare to the Nest app. The app was nowhere ready for this launch and Google made a huge mistake forcing the use of the Home app. On another note, if you wire one of these up for 24/7 video and you're expecting continuous scrubbing like in the Nest app, you'll be very disappointed.

Some genius though that it would be a good idea to make a security camera with a battery and not include charging cables. There is 3' cable for the two cameras. So, when the battery runs out you will need to pull your ladder back out and take the camera down and charge it then put it back OR you can spend $40 in a separate purchase for a longer charging cable. Will happily return tomorrow.

Having a battery makes it super convenient, but you also have the option to wire it if you don't want to worry about charging.
