The new app is very difficult to use, and you can’t leverage the original nest app which was much better. I’m hoping google does not sunset the old app. The recording starts way to late and cuts out early, and many clips have a weird white flash at the beginning of the recording. Image quality is worse than original camera as well. I’m returning the camera and scooping up the old one while they are still in stock at some stores.

The camera has a very difficult time catching anything. I've even adjust the sensitivity to high and it still only starts to record after the person has walked up/past the camera. My older Arlo system is much better.

Your camera runs algorithms to process video and audio data so it can determine whether it detected something you might want to know about. If you only need your camera to detect people, animals, or moving vehicles, we recommend that you do not turn on the basic motion and sound detection feature. You might have to move your camera, change your camera’s angle, or change something in the scene so that you don’t miss important activity and choose which events your camera or doorbell can detect and record (people, motion, package etc.).

Ok camera happered by bad software and poor design

Meanwhile, although you can connect your camera to a power outlet with the included power adapter for continuous power to keep the battery charged, the power adapter included is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use. We recommend using a compatible weatherproof cable (sold separately) instead.

After a few hours of wasting my day fiddling with it, I ended up returning this camera. This will give me a chance to check out all the other brands.
