For slow display, we could be looking at a possible connectivity issue that affects the overall performance of your Nest Cam. It can be caused by different factors like location and distance of Nest Cam, Wi-Fi router, outdated phone and Google Home app. This may also be caused by Wi-Fi network congestion and Wi-Fi interference with other devices and/or networks. Removing other devices from your Wi-Fi might help. You can also try setting up your device on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more reliable.

I tired to give it a chance, but it's just not a successor to previous models. Google got rid of the 4k camera and put this garbage out. It barely catches an event. I don't get a notification trigger if a car is driving by my house going the speed limit of 25 mph. The camera misses it totally! I came home around 10pm and it did not record my car backing into the driveway. It barely caught me walking to the front door. Google needs to fix this asap. Nest was supposed to be the Cadillac of smart security cameras. Now they're a Kia. Wake up Google. Listen to your customers and not to your stockholders.

Your camera runs algorithms to process video and audio data so it can determine whether it detected something you might want to know about. If you only need your camera to detect people, animals, or moving vehicles, we recommend that you do not turn on the basic motion and sound detection feature. Also, Nest camera notifications are a little different. You can choose to receive notifications for everything your camera detects, or choose notifications for only certain types of activity. If you’ve turned on critical alerts, you should receive some push notifications even when your phone is set to Do Not Disturb. You can create Activity Zones to cover areas in your camera’s view that you care about, and choose the type of motion you want to be notified of for each zone. You might have to move your camera, change your camera’s angle, or change something in the scene so that you don’t miss important activity. But none received. Called their customer support and supervisor team several times and asked for help. But no one helped. Poor experience and pathetic support. Overall what a bad experience

Neither camera would communicate with my Google doorbell during the setup process, apparently an essential step to setup wifi parameters. There is no way to simply directly enter credentials for the wifi - seems to be a common problem. I returned the items, after spending a great deal of time attempting to configure them. The hardware seems well designed, and high quality, otherwise this would have been one star.

BIG Disappointment

All i can say is BIG Disappointment I hope they come out with a better product. The camera on battery mode doesn't detect anything within 3 feet. Wake up time is terrible, idk why google decided to come out with this product. Reason why i gave them 2 starts instead of 1 is the looks of the camera.
