    Not weather resistant

    This camera worked great in the sunshine or rain for the past 2 years that I used it until recently after a big storm a lot of condensation appeared inside the camera and now you can barely see anything.

    Cannot access recordings

    These cameras are constantly reporting “video not available yet; check back later”. I recently have had a tremendous need to access two videos that are not available because of this. This need is to show evidence in court. These cameras and/or software cannot be trusted to record video. I am praying Google will come through and help me retrieve these videos.

    Great cameras but horrible to setup

    These are amazing wkth the features they pack but setting them up has to be one of the most difficult things I’ve had to setup

    Why Did NEST discontinue the Nest IQ Camera??? That is and was the best camera that I liked, I have 2 and wanted to get another one, but I cannot.

    Nest cameras

    These replaced Arlo cameras that stopped working. Nest cameras only save running 3 hours of video which was not disclosed to us and is useless. Not getting any answers either. Our own research leads us to believe we need a subscription to get any useful save time. Should have been disclosed at time of sale.

    Do Not Buy

    Do NOT buy. Google as had two updates that have ruined the quality of the Google Nest Cameras. Google has run Nest into the ground sibce they bought them out. Getting rid of Nest secure and raising prices for Nest Aware was it for me. Horrible customer service.

    They last for one year

    Make sure you buy an extended protección plan on this item. Once the 1 year manufacture warranty is up Google will not replace your camara. The customer service is terrible and the subscription is expensive for camaras that dont work.

    I would prefer you bring back all the previous nest cameras everyone has come to love. These wireless cameras are not worth it. Wake up google. If your more on the serious side if home security dont buy these, if they bring back previous models buy those.

    Not worth the price!

    The cameras work fine however they're much better deals on cameras! Plus, you'll need Nest Aware if you want them to function properly and they just raised it $20 in one year! Look for camera's with memory cards!

    Dont buy if you have exisiting Nest

    As others have stated, this will only work in Google Home and not the Nest app. This requires you to have two separate apps for your cameras. Google is commited to forcing you in this direction as they have publicy shared they are forcing this change on their user base.

    Great hardware, terrible software (Google Home)

    Sadly Google are ruining Nest. These cams do not work with the awesome Nest app and instead they force you to use the garbage (poor ux, no live camera views, clunky design ) Google Home app. I have a huge investment in Nest but I will steer clear of any new products until they start reinvesting in the Nest app for new products.

    Before you buy this camera, be aware that it shows only in Google Home app. It's NOT available in Nest app (which is better than Google Home app) It's also NOT available on the web home.nest.com

    Google nest is the worst camera i ever have. The original Nest is the best. It always disconnected from Wifi and takes awhile to reconnect. Do not waste your money guys

    Not better than a $35 Wyze V3 cam. The nest cam is horrible recording events in the dark. How is google thinking a 1080p camera is worth this much?? Dont count on this camera recording evets at night in low light

    Not Really 24/7 Recording

    I bought a few of these as I wanted to add some more cameras around my property and my first generation cameras will need to be replaced eventually. I was okay with using the Home app. However, after buying a outdoor power cord I discovered that even though this allows 24/7 recording you can't save the video. The first generation cameras allowed you to create your own clip. These cameras only allow you to save an "Event" clip. So if something happens outside of the detected event there is no way to save the video and it will be gone after 10 days. For me this original feature was what caused me to go all google. Now that this feature no longer exist, once my current cameras die I'll be switching to another system. I did ask Google about this feature and they said they have no idea if this feature will ever come back. I really liked the cameras but (for me) without the ability to save my own clips these cameras are just like any other cameras. Except they cost way more. I'll keep an eye out if this feature is added back but I doubt it will be back.
