After having Blink Cameras for almost a year they started to go out, have connection issues and everything. I can only compare the Nest cam against the Blink cameras, and the difference is night and day. I had a problem with people driving across my lawn, and Blink cameras couldn't activate fast enough to record it. I needed something that has continuous recording and Nest cam has done the job! 24 hours a day recording and smart motion alerts telling me if it's an animal, person or vehicle. That's pretty darn cool to me. Also, with Blink, only one person could view a camera at a time.... that's crazy. If you are viewing your backyard camera, your front yard camera won't work... they don't tell you that in the description. Not with Google. You can monitor all your cameras in real time at once from your phone, Nest Hub or computer! The cameras are a bit pricier, but... you get what you pay for. Most people don't want or need 24 hour recording... I love it!

Durable - I dropped one from 8 feet onto concrete while retrieving it for recharging and it still works flawlessly. I have everything Google so these integrated easily and seamlessly.

Sound is great also. I also like that fact that I can change the angle of the camera. I have had no problem with them magnets. The magnets are very strong holding the cameras up.

The picture quality is very clear during the day or night. The Cams alert us on our phone if someone comes within range. We are happy to have this added security protection.

It goes offline every now and then for no apparent reason. Wi-Fi signal is strong where it is mounted, so there should be no problem. Picture is good and sensitivity is fine.

We recommend checking for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the cameras and your router as these items could block the connection. If you have a good Wi-Fi connection but the camera is offline, this can happen if the device gets too hot or too cold, and can be avoided by these:
- Your camera should not be exposed to direct sunlight
- Avoid placing your camera near objects that can cause overheating like light bulbs, lamps, large equipment/appliances, air vents, etc. Your camera needs good air circulation. Never install it in any kind of small box or enclosure as this can cause overheating.
- If mounted outdoors, you can install it under an eave or overhang, or even install a small shade above it.

Now the colors are washed out but night vision is very good. Still the cameras work very well have 5 around my house for over 3 years now.

You can adjust your cameras’ video quality that can improve the resolution. The higher the video quality setting you choose, the sharper and more detailed your footage can be, but it also uses more of your internet bandwidth. This setting lets you choose the maximum video quality for your cameras. And whichever level you pick, your camera will automatically adjust its resolution and compression according to how much bandwidth is available. I had been keeping an eye out for a sale, but i never found one. Received a gift card for BB. These were easy to install, charge, and load onto my "Home". Hardware for multiple mounting situations. Batteries last approx 3-4 months depending on triggered recordings. I love being able to see my property at any time with these.
