Not satisficed with my security camera purchase

I was told I was buying Security Camera that would be hard wired not requiring recharging a battery. What was installed were battery operated cameras requiring recharging. They are ok but the battery charging looks like it will occur about every 4 weeks.

Does not show up in nest app , only Google home

But if your expecting the camera to show up in the nest app your going to be highly disappointed. You also can't get this camera to stream to nest hub max or onto a Google TV like nividia shield. This camera only shows up on Google home, and only on your mobile. Can't view from pixel book either. The nest to Google home migration is a hot mess and I was looking to go Google all in all cameras , but not now If I can't stream on TV and completely upsetting.not even on nest home max. I will be returning because of this.

Unreliable performance

You do not have access to old footage, only seen events. I can walk right past these cameras and half the time never trigger an event. About 80% of the time when you open the home app the cameras say no connection and takes clicking refresh over and over. I do not have the same issues with my wired cameras however when i add all of my cameras they all start to glitch. My wired cameras will record a few seconds and then say video not available for a few seconds and the footage is basically useless and you’re unable to connect and watch the footage live. Eventually (days later) the footage is magically available. When i remove any 1 camera this stops. So imagine you hear something outside and want to check out what’s going on. Only to be met with a black screen that says video unavailable refresh for 30-45 seconds. Knowing the device doesn’t pick up events half the time and there is no video history.

It only takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge the Nest Cam (battery). The Google Home app shows you how much time you have left until your battery will need to be charged, and the app will also notify you once the camera needs to charge.

Buyer Beware-Does not work with Nest Home on a PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this camera within approximately one hour of owning it, for one reason. It is not compatible with the existing Nest Home system - and CANNOT be viewed from a computer. I currently have 5 previous Nest Cameras (a combination of IQ, Indoor, Outdoor and Doorbell) and needed to add another camera to cover a different area of my home. Since this is all Nest (Google) offers now, I didn't really hesitate. Nor did it occur to me to research any further than the specs of the camera. Upon attempting to set it up, I slowly discovered the major problem with the new camera models. I attempted to add it to my existing Nest Home App, and was told I need to use the Google Home App for this device. I knew Google bought Nest so I figured, this was just another change. I went ahead and downloaded the new app and continued on. It took a lot longer to add then all my other cameras did with the Nest Home App, but that was fine. When it was done, I could see all of my cameras in the Google Home App - great, I thought. I was done. Well, not so fast. I pulled up the Nest Home on my laptop and the new camera wasn't there. Maybe I needed to go to a new site? That's when the searching started, and I found complaint after complaint about Google and how their new cameras do not play nicely with Nest Home and you cannot access Google Home on a computer. It is only available via App. And, the App doesn't really have much in the way of settings like Nest Home does. I couldn't even find zones, but I honestly didn't look long because at that point I was already boxing it back up to take it back. Sure I use my App to view my cameras when I'm out and about, but when I'm home I want to pull them up on something a tad larger. And sometimes I want to save video clips or take screen shots to save to my hard drive - possible through the app I suppose, but far from quick and easy. Bottom line - if you're expecting to see this camera with all your existing Nest cameras in the Nest Home app AND in Nest Home on your computer, you will be disappointed and possibly very frustrated. Either find an older version still for sale (I found one on Amazon) or wait until Google gets their ducks in a row and fully integrates their new cameras.
