    This was the last piece to my system for the house and it works well. Sensitive to motion as it picks up every bug and light that passes by. App is easy to use and was easy to set up in app.

    Nice camera however it does not pick up over half the events that happen. My neighbors asked me on several occasions if I had footage of something their camera picked up and nothing. Highly disappointed.

      Hi TiffaneyD, thanks for your feedback. It's unfortunate to hear that your Nest Cam (Battery) isn't able to identify over half of the events that happen for your home, and we apologize for any disappointment this experience may have caused you.

      Motion detection on Nest Cam (Battery) can be affected by changes in the light level, and shadows moving across the frame like when a cloud moves in front of the sun. This also includes other movements within the camera's field of view like trees or bushes swaying. If you're not getting any alerts or notifications, we recommend trying out the steps below:
      1. Change the Activity Zones on your camera. You can delete your existing Activity Zone and create a new one in any area within your camera's field of view. Just make sure that none of the zones you create overlap.
      2. Change the angle of your camera and account for the lighting in the surrounding area.
      3. Restart your Camera.

    These cameras are awesome. I love how smart these are with the options. They also work fantastic with the optional solar panels. Never a need to charge these cameras up

    Not Nest quality doesn’t come with everything

    These new nest cameras do not include everything you need. If you want wireless cameras just go with another brand on the market, these are not the same as the original outdoor cameras. Nest app is being phased out, these only work with Google home. Biggest issue, only comes with one tiny charging cable, so even if you wanted to wire this like the original, you now have to spend even more to get another cable, good luck finding one at time of purchase. For this price point, it’s absolutely mind blowing.

    Its working great. I can switch the camera how ever i like to get the best view and immediately notifications pop-up when somebody is around.

    Easy install. Flawless performance. Use over 1 year. Highly recommend. Price on the higher side, but solid quality and operation make it worth the price. Easy to relocate.

    Dead battery despite being plugged in 24/7

    I already know I hate the Google Home interface because it's inferior to Nest, but I got on board and purchased these to be my outdoor cameras. I had them wired the entire time, but eventually they both stopped powering on and the error says the battery is dead. Yet they are wired. They are now paperweights.

    They work ok, but really wish they worked with the nest app like the others we have. Also, since you really need to hard wire them in order to get all the streaming, they should at least have the option of buying wired ones.

      We understand that long time Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app and web app, however, our priority with this launch was to create an integrated experience with other Google Nest speakers and displays, and to make the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant.

      Nest Cam (battery) has been designed with versatility in mind, it’s an outdoor/indoor battery powered device out of the box, and can be used with a set of various power accessories including two weatherproof cables with power adapter. You can connect your camera to a power outlet with the included or optional power adapter. Connecting to continuous power will keep the battery charged. Please note that the power adapter included with the Nest Cam (battery) is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use and you can use a compatible weatherproof cable (sold separately).

    Easy to mount and setup on phone was quick. The battery is good for a cordless device. Consider adding solar panel in the future.

    Great value for the price. Does more than the gen1 outdoor camera at a lower price. I love how you can either plug it in for 24/7 recording and has a battery back-up just in case the power goes out. I just hope the gen2 doorbell has this same feature.

    It’s not what I expected! I could be gotten something better with the price I paid for this cameras! At night time, it looks blurry!

      Hi there, EfrainP. We appreciate your feedback on the Nest Cam (battery). We're sorry to learn that you're having some video quality issues at night time. Night Vision video quality can be affected by internet speed and other issues. Below are some solutions to try. Check your camera’s view in the app after each one:

      - Clean the lens with a soft cloth that’s made for cleaning optics. Dust, thumbprints and dirt can cause poor image quality.
      - Turn your camera so that any nearby surfaces or objects (like a wall) are out of view.
      - Use the app to zoom and enhance, and crop out surfaces or objects that may be the cause of the glare.
      - If a bright white shape along the edge appears while everything else is too dark, there might be a surface that’s too close in your camera’s view (like a wall). Angle your camera so the surface stays out of view.
      - Move nearby objects that may reflect the infrared light.

    Battery dies waaaaayy too fast. Got 2 caneras in the office. Every 2 days. Dead. Im returning them.
