The biggest downside is you can’t use the Nest app and you have to use Google Home app which is not as good IMO. If this is your first Nest camera you’ll be fine. If you’re coming from or adding to older Nest IQ cameras you might be disappointed

Those require power all of the time. We purchased these cameras for areas we don't see a lot of traffic/alerts. The camera does a decent job, not as good as the gen 1 or iq cameras. The picture is decent and so far battery life is as listed in the cameras description. I do not like the fact I cannot use the nest app to view these cameras like the rest of my cameras. You must use the Google home app. I'm hoping over time, google will push software upgrades to allow these cameras to reach their full potential.

However, it was not clear that it was not sole what we neede and is indoor/outdoor. Even the tech guy misguided us. IMO it’s the manufacturers packaging description that was not clear for non-tech people.

The only thing I wish is that it had a better battery life. Easy setup. Looks great indoors and out. I like that it’s wireless. Wish you can you the nest app rather than the google home app.

One of my cameras loses connection pretty frequently, I'd say that blink is more reliable in that area. This would be a great camera if they were a little easier to update wifi. I like to change my wifi password every once in a while. Today, I bought a new mesh network, and I had to grab ladders and pull each device down, factory reset, then reconnect them. It's such a time suck, I'm not entirely sure why it can't be done without that. With blink, you just update the base and all devices connected to it work. I like the rest of the features, and it works most of the time.

Love the night vision, very clear and I love that it can distinguish a person from an animal. Would definitely recommend. The only down side is that it doesn’t come with a way to secure it so it won’t get stolen. This is why I can’t give it a 5 star.

Hey there's three things that I like (number three will surprise you) so make sure you read to the end! Well you're not going to get that here because I think that is stupid. All you're going to get from me is this camera with the only valuable item in it...the high powered magnet on it that records loops of video that you can't delete individually. But I bought this to watch my dogs in their crates so otherwise I wouldn't have bought any of this crud.

I have the sensitivity level on the highest setting on both cameras but it doesn’t pick up all of the activity.

We suggest checking your camera settings as event detection depends on settings that you select. You can choose which events your camera can detect and record (people, motion, package, etc.). From there, you (and each member of your home) can decide which of those events to get notifications for. If an event is turned off, you won’t get notifications for that kind of activity. You can also change the settings like adjusting video quality, wake-up sensitivity, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas.
You may also need to check for any range issue or wireless interference that can affect the overall performance of your camera. Sometimes the camera may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away from your router. You may also check for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the camera and your router as these items could block the connection.
