Fantastic & modular cameras!

Have great resolution and hold charge for a long time; charging them is a bit of a pain since I only have 1 cable but luckily don't have to do it often. Also really love they are super magnetic, so you can stick these suckers on anything metal and they will hold! Perfect if you don't wanna drill or like to move the camera around

When combined with a solar charger it runs without servicing making it very portable. As the pictures show, being able to mount it on a tree gives us a fantastic view of our home when we are away. The only recommendation would be to add a hood to keep snow off the lens.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although this camera is sold as ‘wire free’ and has a rechargeable battery, there is also the option to buy a 33 foot power cord that allows the camera to be permanently plugged in, thus avoiding the need to take the camera down to recharge it. This was a good option for me, as my camera isn’t easy to reach without a ladder.

Setting up and linking is pretty easy. The only think I don’t like about the ones like this one that is wireless is that although you can put them anywhere, it gets old having to take them down to recharge and then put back up

The power cable faces forward which wxposes rhe power cord if you want to have your cam connected to power 24/7. It is supposed to be a nest product but when you add the cam it takes you to the google site to add it. Once you add it you can view on the nest app wich is a pain because i have my original nest cams on the nest app. On the google home app i can see all cams old and new but the problem is google home app is all over the place i just want to see my cams not everything else in my house. How you gonna take nest over and force ppl to use the google app. Im returning and going with the old nest cams.

Using the Google Home app provides you with a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform and access to other Google tools. Also, it provides you with seamless integration with your other Google devices. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. These variations include event frequency, the scene the camera is observing, sensitivity and event duration settings, and more. Still My Choice

I will be upgrading the older versions I still have

Mounting was super easy as it's wireless and the mount is purely magnetic, so taking off the camera is just a simply grab and pull. Covers a very wide viewing angle to get our door, kitchen, living room, and dining room.

Google messed up this product launch

Set up the zone correctly and misses half of the vehicles, people, animals that are in the zone. 2. During live view you can't go back in time easily. You have to go in to history, then if it recorded you can. 3. You have to use the Google Home App and can't add it to your existing Nest App. Not a huge issue but it's annoying. 4. Picture quality not the best. Trying to see a license plate on car 10' for camera is a challenge to read. 5. Slow to start recording once something is in the zone set up. A car traveling 5mph is almost gone when it finally starts to record.
