They work well in the begining and as time goes by the video quality goes to crap and the cameras stop connecting altogether. Every update released to the Home app seems to make things worse. If you dont care about security and throwing money away then these are the cameras for you. Worse is that they just jacked up the price to their subscription to habe these garbage cameras running. Worse buy of all hands down.

They need to put full directions on the box. I was looking at it look at me looking at it for a while. Then it watched me and I saw me. Finally, and on my own, I got things worked out. Thank God for being able to go online for help.

I would rather do plugins,but if you’re installing it on a tree or Far from and outdoor electric outlet, Thai is the best camera to buy , life battery last for 30 days or more !

I use multiple packages of these to have a full outside view of my home. Works with my ADT system, and separately viewable from Google.

I haven’t gotten into the settings of it yet but just with a basic setup it records when someone walks pass and I got it hooked up to my Alexa echo show 5 on my nightstand. I have it at the front door and you can communicate through it. The speaker on it is loud and clear and the mic is great too. I’m not looking forward to customizing it more so I’ll probably leave it as is. It comes with a white security cable also so you won’t have to buy one. I bought an extra pack of security cables not knowing that the nest comes with one.

Nest Battery cams so so poor choice

Battery life of Nest Cam (Battery) will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios for your Nest Cam (Battery):
Busy: About 1.5 months battery life (about 20 - 25 recorded events per day)
Typical: About 3 months battery life (about 9 - 12 recorded events per day)
Quiet: About 7 months battery life (about 2 - 4 recorded events per day)

If I would have known I would have purchased them separately so I could have had a charger for each. Other than that we love it.

This battery camera was only working in 20 seconds intervals whenever there was activity which I am not crazy about. I don't have that limitation with my wired cameras. I ended up buying the electric cable to extend the length of video recordings.

Battery last decent, but easy to take down to recharge.

They can’t take this one down. Liked the wired one better since I didn’t have to charge it, but my kids decided that this is the one we’re using
