However I gave this camera a try, and I've found that "google" seems to have corrected the previous problems. So far, it's working GREAT!!!~

I bought 2 cameras and I love that I can see them from my Android cell phone anywhere and anytime. Battery last months with regular use. I usually charge them once every 60 days or when they reach about 75% battery. They charge pretty quick too. No issued with them. I recommend the Nest system.

However, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. Also, using a Google Home app provides you with a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform and access to other Google tools. This means you get a simpler interface and a simpler way to connect all your devices into a single environment.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As someone who has the Nest IQ outdoor camera, you can only wonder what Google is up to… this is a step back as you can’t get continuous recording with out hardwiring it. The mounting kit is plastic and while it works it doesn’t seem sturdy. Additionally the user interface for Google home seems like it’s still in the beta phase. There are better options out there for this price.

The new Nest Cam (battery) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, and Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.

I was skeptical of battery life but so far very pleased. After two months of operation it still has %64 battery remaining. The camera goes into sleep mode thus conserve battery life until it senses motion. Mine sees a lot of motion there justify battery usage. I recommend this product .
