Also, we suggest using the secure loop accessory, which is a cable that connects your camera to the magnetic mount and will help prevent your camera from falling if it gets knocked off the mount. If your Nest Cam (battery) did not include a secure loop in the box, please contact us to request one. Alternatively, you can use the Wasserstein anti-theft mount, which can be available at your retailer, and provides anti-theft protection in addition to anti-drop protection.

We wanted to make the Google Home app the one place where you can control all your favorite Google Nest devices and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant. Here are some benefits you can get by using the Google Home app with your Nest Cam (Battery):
- Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup.
- Your Google Nest devices and services will work together. For example, if you have a Nest Cam and a Nest Hub, just say, ""Hey Google, show me the backyard camera” to cast your camera stream to your display without any additional setup.
- One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
- Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.

A single cable is included because cameras typically require charging at different times. This is due to factors like how often events occur, what the camera sees, and your chosen sensitivity and recording duration settings.

Meanwhile, you can connect your camera to a power outlet with the included power adapter for continuous power so you can avoid charging the camera more often than you should, which is also required to get 24/7 recording. And as we're always evaluating and refining our products based on customer’s feedback and industry trends, we’ve included three hours of event history right out of the box for the first time ever. Additionally, the Nest Aware (2nd gen) covers all cameras and doorbells added on the same home structure. Please note that the power adapter included with the Nest Cam (battery) is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use, and we suggest using a compatible weatherproof cable (sold separately).
