Cameras are great, quality in sound and video are good as well. It took me awhile to figure out to reset them to a different router, luckily YouTube helps. I have one on a google cam stand the other mounted on the magnet mount. Feel very secured on the magnet mount.

its a okay product, I bought wired one and this one, i think wired one is better, because the battery wont last very long if you are in a busy street .
screen image is not very clear
For future buyers beware...Battery charging issues

I have 6 Google cameras so far and I think this last purchase (Google outdoor wireless/battery) will be the last. It's sad as I was hoping to buy 2 more outdoor but I'm now re-assessing other cameras. I hope Google and Bestbuy stops selling these as it is shortchanging their customers. Aside from removing most of the original Nest features like the ability to scrub videos, if you look at Google community you will see that there are lots of issues around the battery options. The wired are OK. I've never had problems with Google/Nest cameras (I think I have all of them except the floodlights). This one purchase for my 2nd time charging it (about 6 months out from purchase) took way past 12 hrs. I strongly believed I've got a defective one but Bestbuy wouldn't honor the warranty since I did not purchase the GeekSquad plan. So I guess there's no point anymore to buy directly from BestBuy then. If you must buy it, at least purchase directly from Google so you'll have the history and the possibility of getting support. I'm now stuck with this one odd camera that I would have to leave overnight for charging in the future which is not supposed to be.

The battery life is no where near advertised. I get about a week on a charge. They could last much longer if there was a way to trigger them on and off with Google Home Automations or even a simple turn on when away, but sadly no such setting. Can't even schedule them on or off at certain times of the day. People have been complaining about this since they came out, but Google has yet to remedy this.

Product is decent, does its job. However now that google has fragmented the nest ecosystem, those of us that have "older" nest products now have to live with two different platforms. If I want to see these cameras, i have to go to the home app. Other cameras, to the nest app. History in one, not the other. Alerts from nest app and sometimes the home app overlap. Its silly.
Hi Cywolf1, we're sorry to hear that you are not pleased with the move we made to the Google Home app for the new generation of Nest cameras, including Nest Cam (Battery).
Our goal for the launching of the new generation of Nest cameras is to make the Google Home app the one place where you can control all your favorite Nest devices and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant. Here are some benefits you can get by using the Google Home app with your Nest Cam (Battery): - Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup. - Your Google Nest devices and services will work together. For example, if you have a Nest camera and a Nest Hub, just say, ""Hey Google, show me the backyard camera” to cast your camera stream to your display without any additional setup. - One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps. - Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.

These cameras are great. We bought them to monitor the dogs when they are in the yard. The clarity is great. The battery life is really good. They recharge quickly. They are completely wireless, so I can put them anywhere.

Do not buy this item for an outdoor device. It was engineered to fail. Corrosion will build up where the charger port meets the camera. The design is not built to be waterproof or anywhere close to it. Mine lasted about 6months under an awning. Google would not even consider any warranty because I had everything except the useless cord. A C-port would have been better, still would have failed, but easily replaced. Do not buy for outdoor use. There are way better-engineered cameras for that purpose. Indoor use, sure, go for it, just know that the cord is one of a kind and uses a magnet to secure to the camera. The magnet is weak and short. Tends to fall out often. I have had two so far. Regret the purchase, and disappointed in the customer service treatment. Thanks, Apple, I mean CJ, for the awful customer experience. Tossing the nest as a whole, as I have 6 products and will use something reliable. There are free services for outdoor cameras. Not 99 dollars a year and expected to go up. Plus the software is kinda janky.
