video is good quality but it needs to be recharged far more often than I thought. Having to get a ladder out every two weeks is not what I bargained for.

Easy to install, handle. Resolution is very good. If you do not have a magic eye on the door (for example impact doors) you can use a monitor. Make sure that the internet width is good enough to handle both. The app works great in the phone.

Camera quality is good, clear video and audio. Unfortunately the google home app is still laggy, buggy, slow, and doesn't push notifications in a timely manner

Love these cameras clear day and night vision fast connection through WiFi

Our home was recently broken into. We believe they didn’t have enough time to take anything since we arrived home early. We believe it’s because we didn’t have cameras that we were targeted. Soon after that happened, we got these cameras and now we get notifications of any movement near the house. We placed one in the backyard and we placed the other by the garage, we also have the Google nest doorbell. We love the simplicity of using the app Easy to charge.

I purchased 3 of these cameras to use outside my house. Overall the quality of the video is great, but the Google Home app takes too long to load and view. Also the camera on my front door drains rapidly so I will have to hardwire the camera.

This camera is pretty good. It has quality video and audio. Battery life is ok. Definitely invest in the powercord so you don't have worry about charging the camera. I wish it had continuous recording. It doesn't record when I am viewing live video. Hopefully google updates this soon.

I have a ring and after a year I did t want to pay the subscription fees every year. After some research I found this one and I actually liked it. Here are the reasons 1. You don't want to pay the subscription and you don't need to check/tore video way back in the timeline 2. Solid build (in fact heavier than others) and the battery runs 6 weeks (within 25-50F ranges) 3. The video quality is good and I really like face recognition feature 4. I like the integration with nest hub display where I can watch the live feed with voice command On the flip side, it might look expensive to begin with but the subscription cost from other devices will help you to decide. The setup with the nest app can be tricky so follow the steps carefully and contact support online if you get any problem but don't skip any steps.

I purchased these and couldn’t be more happy with them. I originally had them powered by battery only. However, I opted later to get the 24/7 coverage with Nestor plus so I purchased power cables later (Amazon, not Google - way more cost effective) for what I want these, for they were perfect. My only complaint, and I knew this going in was that I had to use the Google Home app rather than Nest app. The Nest app is much better. I also feel like these are very high priced.

I already have a Nest IQ Outdoor camera which uses the Nest app. This camera requires the Google Home app. I know people are not happy with the Google Home app, but I will say everything is there that you get with the Nest app, it's just laid out differently. The new camera actually notifies us faster than the IQ Outdoor camera. Its so fast that if you click on the notification right when you get it the event video hasn't finished processing yet. I have my camera on a power source because I want the 24/7 video storage along with the events. Google offers the best price point for this feature at $12 per month for unlimited devices. All other solutions I looked at cost you $20 or more per month. Video quality between both of my camera's are the same which is very good day and night. I'm very happy with my purchase.

On writing this review, I've had the camera for about 3 or 4 months. Since then there had been an update that altered the recording image. Colors look a bit pale and quality does look diminished. Another thing is that the motion detection range is a bit narrow compared to its competitors. You need to stand pretty close until it begins to record. As far as the positives •Its pretty easy to setup and install •Battery life is not bad. (about 3 1/2 weeks before recharge) •The subscription plan is good for all nest cam devices and any future devices you want to add under one single price.
