Pretty decent camera, the quality of video is HD 1080p, but batteries life sucks, it does not last as google claim so I have to use it wired and I wish google would incorporate the nest app feature with a software update because it’s so much better.

The product itself is excellent. However, it was not clear that it was not sole what we neede and is indoor/outdoor. Even the tech guy misguided us. IMO it’s the manufacturers packaging description that was not clear for non-tech people.

Picture is very clear and can zoom in to keep the property safe at all angles.

Installed google outdoor security cameras. They are good not great.

Our home was recently broken into. We believe they didn’t have enough time to take anything since we arrived home early. We believe it’s because we didn’t have cameras that we were targeted. Soon after that happened, we got these cameras and now we get notifications of any movement near the house. We placed one in the backyard and we placed the other by the garage, we also have the Google nest doorbell. We love the simplicity of using the app Easy to charge.

I liked how well it works with the nest hub, but the cameras are a bit slow to load when you really want to see the stream. Also, the only places you can see a stream for the cameras is on a nest hub, or your cell phone. I thought itd work with chromecast but it doesn’t.

On writing this review, I've had the camera for about 3 or 4 months. Since then there had been an update that altered the recording image. Colors look a bit pale and quality does look diminished. Another thing is that the motion detection range is a bit narrow compared to its competitors. You need to stand pretty close until it begins to record. As far as the positives •Its pretty easy to setup and install •Battery life is not bad. (about 3 1/2 weeks before recharge) •The subscription plan is good for all nest cam devices and any future devices you want to add under one single price.

Bought these open box from Best Buy. They were in great condition and worked great. Great Video Quality. Love that I have the option to do wired/battery operated.

These cameras do exactly what I want them to do, work. And for the price at the time of purchase, how could I resist?

Excellent camera. Great clarity. I opted for the optional power cable to keep them powered 100% of the time. Thought about using the solar panels (like we did with our Arlo's) but that will not give us the 24/7 video history if we opt for that subscription plan. We have two of these models (and several other indoor models) and both are AC powered. Also added silicon covers. Still on the Nest trial which gives us 30 days of history, not sure if we will opt for higher subscription which gives us 60 days of event history and 10 days of 24/7 video history.

Camera quality is good, clear video and audio. Unfortunately the google home app is still laggy, buggy, slow, and doesn't push notifications in a timely manner

Good product, works well as a battery operated unit and fully functional to its predecessor. Very easy to install and set up. I find that the camera in battery mode only has hesitation in recording motion and misses or has partial event recordings. I recommend using the power cable( additional cost) which corrects this issue.

Great quality cameras. They have fantastic pet and face recognition. Really enjoy these and simple to install and setup.

I purchased these and couldn’t be more happy with them. I originally had them powered by battery only. However, I opted later to get the 24/7 coverage with Nestor plus so I purchased power cables later (Amazon, not Google - way more cost effective) for what I want these, for they were perfect. My only complaint, and I knew this going in was that I had to use the Google Home app rather than Nest app. The Nest app is much better. I also feel like these are very high priced.

Love them!! I live in condo complex. No security. These cameras I purchased are life saving.

very easy to install, good quality video. Wish there was a way to better secure them to building. Magnet is very strong but plastic bracket is just that plastic. If outside, can be easily stolen.

Simple to use, but the battery doesn’t last long in high traffic areas where the camera is constantly recording. When there isn’t a lot of activity, the battery will last a month. At busy times, I’d say a week or two will be the most you’ll get out of the battery life.

I have both blink and google cams in my house. One of my cameras loses connection pretty frequently, I'd say that blink is more reliable in that area. This would be a great camera if they were a little easier to update wifi. I like to change my wifi password every once in a while. Today, I bought a new mesh network, and I had to grab ladders and pull each device down, factory reset, then reconnect them. It's such a time suck, I'm not entirely sure why it can't be done without that. With blink, you just update the base and all devices connected to it work. I like the rest of the features, and it works most of the time.

This works seamlessly and was easy to add to Google home. Resolution and night vision are good, and the mounting is easy.

This was my first time taking a chance on the wire free version of the camera. Only a year and a half in and it won't hold a charge more than a few days and it takes forever to charge. It is not in a high traffic area where it's triggered to record constantly, so the battery should hold up better especially for the cost.
